So, here's my new '03 pewter girl that still lacks a name and my 27.3.2007 born snow striped-boy whom I think shall be called Loke. Loke has been imported from the US, but I have no idea who actually bred him.

The pewter is very pretty and well-mannered and good in every way, but Loke, in my opinion, is incredibly small for a five-month-old. I weighed him, and the result was 16 grams. I also got a list of his feeding dates though, and there sure has been vast space inbetween. I'm sure he'll grow liek a weed now that he starts to get fed more often.

The sweetest thing about all this is that I had utterly forgotten my '06 bloodred boy is het for pewter. Just remembered it a couple of minutes ago. :crazy02:

 Great pick ups! That pewter is gorgeous. Hope Loke thrives for you, 16grams is incredibly small

Awesome pewter.

I'm sure Loke will be fine, like you said, they went awhile between feedings. My new hatchlings are 7g and 11g... can't believe how tiny! :grin01:

Yeah, you can imagine my face when I saw Loke... :eek1: But for soem ed up reason he has been fed really inconsistently.... even been almost three weeks inbetween... Some sort of a ed-up maintenance diet, I guess. But I have a big fat bag of pinkies for him, and he's looking very lively and healthy so I'm sure it'll be fine. :)

I don't think I've seen such a big pewter before! She's awesome! And little Loke is precious.

Yeah, poor pewter. She has a 176-liter viv waiting for her at my new apartment (I'll be moving next Tuesday, I think) but until then she has to live in a big smartbox... She's looking a little pissed off there. x] But there just wasn't any point in dragging the viv to the 4th floor in this house, keeping it here for a few days, dragging it down, putting it in a car, transporting it and dragging it to the 4th floor at the other house too. Especially as the other house doesn't have an elevator. x_x

Little Loke is keeping an eye on me from his cut-in-half-toilet-paper-cardboard-tube-hide. He seems to have settled right in.

In January of 2006 I bought me a lavender boy, 6 month old and still the size of a newborn, now he is 240 grams, so don't worry about the snow, he'll catch up!

Looove the pewter lady!

Aww little Loke. When I bought my first corn at 8 months old she was only 24 grams. She wasn't really skinny, just small. That was in may, she's grown at least 6 inches and is almost 90 grams now :)
So have faith he'll pick up soon.

Now then...LOVE that pewter!

I like the name Loke, and love the snake. Can't wait for a handling picture when he's out of his cage. The pewter looks amazing as well, love the pose. Congratulations on a new snaky.

So, I couldn't resist checking if little Loke would feel like eating something, even though I only got him home yesterday. Didn't take a handling picture while putting him in the feeding box for the simple reason that he is so small and fast that I don't feel comfortable only devoting one of my hands to handling him. :p He's very mellow though - lets me pick him up without trying to escape or bite. \o/

So, I put him in the feeding box, thawed a pinkie and tossed it into the box with him. He went around the box, seemingly looking for n escape. After a while I decided to change my strategy and poke the mouse a little towards him. Suddendly he seemed to go "OH MAN! Food! 8DDD" And grabbed it. Then he spent a while trying to swallow it sideways. When he found the pinkie's rear, he swallowed it backwards in less than half a minute. At least he doesn't seem to be a reluctant eater. :eatpointe

Here's a pic for all his fans. :grin01:
