My right to bear arms is under fire right now.

I don't know why you are having problems, I bare my arms every day, sometime with a tank top, others with a t-shirt!

Ha ha ha. Probably not funny for our northern friends, but I liked it. Then again I am grilling so my right bare arm could come under fire. ....

Yeah, rubbing in our 70 degree weather is kinda mean, I have the windows open right now at 3:30am and a sleeveless nightie. It is chilly outside, but I sleep SO good when it is cold in our bedroom!

And don't tease me with the grilling, I have been craving BBQ lately but because of the holidays my husband's and my schedules at the casino are so messed up we are each eating sandwiches or carry-out alone. I see him for about an hour when I get home at 3am, maybe I will go ask him to grill me a burger! Oh honey......

This is me every night:

Oh Nanci, I am like that already, and I have about 10 years to go to reach you! I am so dreading the second half of my life! Damn hormones.

Child? Probably not, being as that "Child" has facial hair.
But if sombody shot him breaking into their house that's what you would hear. "he was a good kid" "he was getting his life together" "he would never hurt anyone" "he was just getting candy and a drink" :shrugs:

Ain't that the truth....

As a gun control advocate, that photo is pretty benign.

Has anyone ever used "He was just getting candy and a drink" to excuse a break in?

Yes, into a gated community in Florida.... But they also claimed the guy with the gun was white, and proceeded to try and to start a race war over it....

Perhaps better described as hypocritical. Since being attacked by a crazy person, her and her husband have tried to vilify that firearm type.

Hmm, I'm not sure if hypocritical is fair. It's not unusual for personal experience or trauma to change someone's perspective. It would by hypocritical if that picture was from after her attempts to limit assault rifle availability, but not before.

This sounds a lot like the Trayvon Martin incident. If you're talking about another, similar and less publicized incident, I apologize for getting them confuse, but Martin did not break in. He was visiting friends who lived in the area.

Probably not an assault rifle but rather a simple .223/5.56 semi-auto rifle in scary black paint with scary plastic parts.

Well, yes, but ask 10 people to define 'assault rifle' and you'll probably get 10 different specs.

That happens by design thanks to our politicians. Not much chance of getting "people (aka gun) control" if it's not scary or offensive to someone.

"never let a good tragedy go to waste"

That's why controls on functionality is better. I mean, Canada has an Assault Weapons ban, but it's really weird in some of the stuff. Like, it's illegal for me to put a bullpup mod on my Ruger 10/22.

However, banning all fully automatic weapons is something I get. Banning large capacity magazines is something I get.

But one of the things proposed by some US politicians (And they were Dems, yes) was really silly. Banning muzzle breaks? What?
