Neat Ikea Find!

Blue Apple Herps

aka Matthew, PhD
Just thought I pass this along...Don't know if you guys have seen these water bowls before. I know it's nothing special, but they're the perfect size for using in racks; not too big and not too small. Plus, they double as a hide for smaller snakes. But the best part is they're only 25¢ a piece. So if they break or whatever no big deal; plus at that price that's just more money to spend on more snakes! :crazy02:

2nd pic you can see the space for hiding.

I also saw those there, while with my lady friend. I believe her response to my excitement was "You're a dork."
All dorkiness aside, $0.25 water bowls/hides rock my socks off!!!

LOL.... I got the same kind of thing but square :grin01:

*will be heading to Ikea tomorrow* :sidestep: I think my ceramic bowl is too big for my coming hatchling! It's like 7" across, and I've been told I need more hides. This fits the bill perfectly!

My petshop has them for dogs, way more expensive! The holes are for picking them up...

I prefer others, don't like too much unnatural color in the vic=vs... but with many more snakes the price could convince me!

I have about 18 of those in my reptile room right now! i also got some of the bigger blue ones, if you use 28 qt with lids there is still about 2 inches for your snakes to get in, my adult corn has one, the bottom id big enought for adults to hind under and to fully submerge there selfs in. the are about 10'' across and 4'' deep, all for .75 cents, also at ikea!

Yeah, I bought 16 of them and the check out person just looked at me like I was crazy!

I saw those, too. Was hesitant b/c I was concerned about clearance for the snake to get in. But thanks for the info, I'll have to pick up some of those, too.

I forgot to say please.

:shrugs: :shrugs: Please, where are they available in the States?:shrugs: :shrugs:

Well, i really only go to one ikea. If you could not get thme at your and you wanted to buy a lot it might be worth it for someone to ship you some

They do have Ikea in the states, but not very many of them. I see them very few and far between. However, you can pick up similar dishes (usually square) at Target in the pet aisle for like $0.89. I just picked up three of them today. Carol turned Joe on to them who then showed them to me.

Target happens to be one of my clients and I'll be in one tomorrow. Thanx for letting me know.

No problem! Glad I could help. The $0.89 ones are the smaller pet dishes, but they do also carry the larger ones for just over a buck. Right now I only need the small ones, but will be sure to hit them up when I need a larger one.

I also notice you are from Cleveland. Where abouts? I used to live in North Olmsted. Moved to Florida 6yrs ago to get away from the snow.

IKEA is the best!!

I also have those for my snakys and I have even turned som Ikeas bookshelvs into vivs!! Realy nice!! :)
