Okay, when I posted the first hatchling out of this clutch, somebody suggested that Anery or Lavender may have popped up. The very last baby to emerge appeared to be a Caramel Snow at the time, which would confirm that both parents were het. Anery. This would have been a complete surprise to me.

However, the "Caramel Snow" seems to be coloring up more and more each day! I'm starting to think perhaps it is just a regular ole Butter?

According to the calculator, this is what I should have got:

12.50% Butter (het. Motley)
25.00% Golddust (het. Motley)
12.50% Butter, Motley
25.00% Golddust, Motley
12.50% Ultra, Caramel (het. Motley)
12.50% Ultra, Caramel, Motley

And this is what I should have got if they both were indeed het. Anery:

9.38% Butter (het. Motley, 66% poss. het. Anerythristic)
18.75% Golddust (het. Motley, 66% poss. het. Anerythristic)

And here she is today, after ONE single shed. Just one!!!! It's like somebody came into our room at night and colored her up! I really don't think there's any way that she is a Caramel Snow like originally thought.

I'd say butter as well. I had some that hatched out last year that were really light but after they shed they started to gain more color.

Oh and here I was thinking I really hit the jackpot :p it's totally insane how much she looked EXACTLY like a snow while she was in her egg!

Will post progression pics, and more of the whole clutch when I get time to photograph them! They're currently digesting.

Over the years I've hatched a couple of Amels that looked like Snows when they hatched and they coloured up later. After a couple of sheds, they looked like regular Amels.
 
She has been eating very well for me, so I expect her to shed again soon. Wonder what she'll look like then!

I was 100% going to keep her when I thought she was a Caramel Snow, but now that she's colored up she'll probably be up for grabs. But I DID hold back a funky Snow from last year:

She already has a name, (Diamond!) and a nametag for her tub, so she's not going anywhere.

At least this makes my decision a lot easier :p I already have a butter female (and OMG she is so gorgeous) and I believe she is gravid right now! She was bred to the same sire as this clutch, so we shall see what pops out.

Ooops I'm sorry are you saying this is not a Snow?....THAT IS A SNOW along with whatever other genes are present in the parents.

That's a snow from last year. This year's hatchling is most definitely a butter. I could see the butter coloration in the photos of it still in the egg.

That's a snow from last year. :) This year's hatchling is most definitely a butter. I could see the caramel coloration in the photos of it still in the egg.

You have more experience than me, Susan! Lol. Even still looking at it in the egg it looks like a snow to me :p But she most definitely is not.

Still thinking about keeping her....sigh!!!
