Never Cheat On The Mouse Factory

So I heard that Mice Direct had really small pinks. On their website they list Small Pinks, Regular Pinks. In anticipation of feeding six hatchlings, I ordered 200. They also had a sale on Peach Fuzzies. They looked great in the picture! I ordered 200 at 33% off. Shipping was outrageous, $70 for two day, but with the peach fuzzy sale it all evened out.

What a mistake. What is that rattling noise when I pick up the box?? Oh- it's dry ice pellets. (TMF uses dry ice blocks, carefully wrapped and TAPED). And the four bags of mice are just loose- no packing whatsoever.

But wait! There's more! At least one bag has broken open and there are pinks all over in with the dry ice pellets!

The less damaged bag of mice shows how much they have broken up in shipping, or perhaps packaging or storage. Nope, not vacuum sealed. How long are they going to last?

This is the least damaged bag of pinks. Which, BTW, are just an assortment of regular-sized pinks, not "small." Nice.

On to the "peach fuzzies." At least one of the bags hadn't broken open, but I didn't trust it, so I repacked those into my own bags. Not like they were vacuum sealed or anything. So all the bags had to go into a Tupperware, too, to try to prolong their life. Which meant clearing space in my freezer, which didn't have space for that.

And just to continue the theme of disappointment, this is just a bag of normal fuzzies, with a few smaller ones mixed in. Not peach fuzzies at all.

I am so sorry I cheated on you. I have learned my lesson and will never do that again. I miss your immaculate, safe packaging and your cheap shipping and your accurate sizing.

I would email them Nanci.
I order from them frequently and have never had any problems with packing or the sizes. The bags are not vacuumed sealed, but they last me in my freezer with no problems.

Remind me to never EVER order from them!!! well I think I'm just going to get all of my mice from rodent pro or something, because they have shows arround my all of the time, almost every couple of months

I really need to call Edna.. *lol* I am in need of some more mice... Not to mention any big named advertisers, but TMF has proved themselfs to have a better qaulity product, vaccuum sealed and what not.. Hopefully things don't change as TMF grows..

Bummer! I know just how you feel though. I'm through with all the rest. TMF for life!
I still have a freezer full of fuzzies from RP that some of my snakes turn their noses up at. I'd never know I had picky snakes if I didn't 'cheat' myself..
