THAT is a very cool looking snake.............can see why you would be a little happy over that one. congrats.

Beautiful colors! Keep us posted on how her colors progress.

AND Congratulations on your 1500'th post!!!!!:crazy02: :dancer: :bird:

Suh-weeet! What a beauty. I'll have to point this thread out to my little sister (Pumilio) if she doesn't find it herself. Her second-favorite morph after Okeetee is anery stripe, and this girl's a step up from that. :D

Congrats Matt.

OH WOW!! She is totally AWESOME! And I really like how her scales and color blend in with the threads of the cloth in the background of the first photo!

Absolutely wonderful snake you have there. :)
Love the colouring and pattern.

BTW, that IS a striped-motley and not a regular stripe. Why? Well....

1) The dorsal striping is 'connected' to the head pattern. (Bit harder to see because of the Bloodred influence on the head pattern.)
2) The stripe is more narrow than that of true striped cornsnakes.
3) The jagged edges and narrowing parts of the stripe where the motley gene is exerting its influence.

Don Soderberg has a great photo on his site (cornsnakes.net) in the photo gallery under Corns and in the 'Comparisons' sub-category that does a great job of illustrating the differences between true stripes and stripe-motleys.

NOT knocking your snake, don't get me wrong. I prefer the stripe-mots to stripes myself. :):)

Great looking snake...I am a little jealous of you. But, I finally have some bloods, so I will be able to breed some difused into my collection starting next season.

Those are some interesting points. I myself have zero experience with stripexmotleys so it is difficult for me to say. I will have to ask rich hume. Thanks for the comments :)

WOW dont really know quite what to make of it :grin01:
I certanly like it though and wouldnt mind seeing one of them appear in my collection.

I have a female Blood that I picked up from Don last year at the Houston Show, and a male that I got this year that is 2 years old. That male will be breeding at least my female snow and maybe something else. haven't decided on breeding plans for next year yet.

Ooohhh, she found it on her own, and she is much enamored! And the blood aspect just makes it 100 times cooler. Since we know blood is Dean's favorite, this will be like a bonding moment for us, drooling over this photo. Soon I'll be calling him before bed all the time, "Night, Dean-boy!" That's the power of the anery stripe blood! :grin01: Haha, she looks awesome!

Wow. Very nice snake!!! I have some projects that might produce these in a couple years and now I know what I have to look forward too. Thanks for sharing the pics. You'll have to post pics after every shed. :)

Just in response to the comments that this corn is a StripexMotley. I talked to richard hume, and he assured me that there is no motley gene involved. Instead, he says that what we are seeing is cubing, which is something he has seen in his striped bloods before.

I agree that it looks like a stripe/motley to me, also. But with the bloodred influences who knows what different pattern morphs mixed together will produce. Rich Hume is a stand up guy so if he's pretty confident there's no motley involved then I'd take his word for it.

Whether it's a stripe, stripe/motley, whatever; it's an amazing snake. I hope you will keep posting pics as she grows!
