New Camera, New Pics!

[Insert Witty Commentary]
So...I finally got the camera of my dreams today. Well...not really...but it was close and in my price range...;). So I quick snapped a couple photos of my baby girl Akai to share...

closeup1.jpg

This first one was taken with no lights on her, a 1.5 second exposure and a rear-curtain flash.

closeup3.jpg

This one was taken under the same light and shutter conditions, but with a normal flash.

closeup2.jpg

This one was taken with her overhead daylight on, and a 1/4 power, diffused flash.

Anyhow...I didn't have time to get out and shoot any good pics today cause I was working all day, but I wanted to experiment a little bit with different exposures and flash settings. I'm happy. But I got Sunday off with my daughter, and it's supposed to be a nice day. Hopefully we'll get to the park and get some good photos done...

Thanks for looking!!

Those are some sweet pics Chris! I like that last shot the best. Congrats on the new camera. You wield it well :) What kind of camera did you get?

Great pics Chris, although we could appreciate them more if they were bigger. I make everything 900px wide for posting on forums as I like to think if you are going to pay attention to detail, then you should at least be able to see it :)

I got an Olympus E-520. It's pretty sweet...

When I get some decent pictures taken, I'll be sure to make them a little bigger...

I don't think I could get any closer. I was using 150mm zoom lens...

Maybe I mean, macro, more macro!!!

I don't have a macro lens yet. I tried to get a +5 diopter filter today, which would make my 14-42mm lens pretty close, but my local camera shop didn't know what I was talking about, so I'm gonna have to order it online.

I also have my eye on a really nice 35mm f/2 prime macro. I'm hoping to be able to get that soon...
