Hey so after a bunch of research i picked up my first corn snake. Right now he is just in a 5 gal. tank with a lid that has a built in little light. I have a heat mat under the tank that covers about 1/3 of the floor, and i leave the light on during the day. I am planning on buying him a larger tank in the very near future. My main question was how can i tell how old my corn snake is? he shed last night and his shed is 22 inches long, i do know it stretches from he shed but it is the best measurement i can get right now. Ive tried the whole string thing, but its kind of hard to do by myself. So if a snake shed is 22 inches long and his actual girth is about an inch how old would you say he was? also right now i am feeding him one mouse every Sunday, i believe it is a fuzzy? (eyes have not opened yet, doesn't run around) is this enough for him right now?
