New Hybrids Coming Soon

Kiss My Hearse
I haven't gotten any new snakes in over a year, since I've been cutting back. I'm still looking to get rid of a few more corns, but I am still focused on my hybrids. So I decided to purchase two '11 female black rat/cali kings 66% het white sided and amel from Mesozoic Reptiles to go with the Beasts from Becky. I think adding some kingsnake to the mix will go nicely.

I don't know what both girls look like yet. This is the female I know I'm getting (photo courtesy of Kingsnake.com). May I introduce Lady Scarab von Alchemy. Her sister will be Lady Nile (or Oracle) von Alchemy.

I can't wait to get them!! They will go with the Beasts. The male is a snow, Lord Kohaku von Alchemy and the female is an amel, Lady Siren von Alchemy. All my hybrids share the same last name. I'll have to locate or take pics tomorrow.

I also decided to get a male, but this guy is a Thayeri Kingsnake X California Kingsnake X Pueblan Milksnake X Cornsnake. I've got a 1.1 Cali king X Ruthven X Thayeri and 2.1 Corn/Pueblan/Cali kings, plus a really nice jungle girl and 1.1 super corns. I think this boy will fit into my evil hybird plans juuust fine. I'm thinking of naming him Lord Excalibur von Alchemy, since he has the X on his head.

What is odd, is that I found myself looking at these exact same snakes a few weeks back! They're awesome for sure!

They're here!! The other female black rat/cali king is gorgeous!! She was acting all cobra when I took her out of her travel tub, but she looks like she might be starting to go into blue. And I have to think that black ratsnake and cali king may not make the most friendly combo, lol. They're good sized, too.

The male is so little, though, I forget they're ever that small! He's amazingly marked, with perfect spots down his sides. I hope I have some pinks small enough for him, everyone else is on at least peach fuzzies.

Feeding went 2 for 3. Scarab ate her peach fuzzy happily enough. So far Nile hasn't touched hers. Excalibur (also an appropriate name because he has "cali" king in him) hoovered his pink in a flash. I don't have any regular pinks, just a few large ones that are a bit big for him. A few cuts in the pink's back will aid digestion. I just can't believe how fast Cal wolfed it down! I love my king hybrids.

Apparently, Cal is not my buddy yet. I was changing out paper towels and he musked all over me when I took him out.

Scarab is very mellow so far, but I'm toying with changing her name to Oracle. She's rather mystical and calm.

Nile, well, she's another story. She thinks she's a cobra hybrid. When I took her out, she was fine for a moment. Once she saw my other hand moving she assumed the attack "S". She tensed up and I could feel her breathing as she clenched my fingers. She kept her eyes on my face the whole time and her tongue was working overtime. I need to get pics of my dangerous snake. LOL

LOL- I realized that in my first post, I should have clarified that I can't wait to see pics of future babies.
I am really looking forward to your future projects!
