Last weekend my sister was looking online at corn snakes in the area and she found one that was taken on by an animal rescue that's in the biggest city over. It's a male corn that had a spinal injury that was picked up by them in August 2010. They nursed him back to health and he was ready to be adopted out.

They said he is a adult male albino corn snake. Is that what he is? I am still getting to know the morphs of corn snakes so I was not sure.

They said he only eats fuzzies and nothing bigger and has always been that way.. I guess it's from his injury. They said he's active and the vet cleared him for parasites etc.. clean bill of health.

I will be picking him up from them after work today. I am so excited. This is the photo they sent me of him.. he's in blue so he's dull in the photo. Also, the viv I have set up for him is bigger than this one they have him in.

We are going to call him, Apollo. The god of music and healing... we thought that fitting because our other snakes are named after God and Goddesses and all start with an "A".. and Apollo fits him because of his injury and healing.

Pretty amel, looks to be in shed in the pic also. Thin, but nothing regular feedings won't help. I'd let him settle in and and start him on f/t hoppers or rat pups, regardless of what they've said about past feeding regimes. The key will be letting him settle into his new viv...

Kudo's, nice to see rescues working for reptiles as well as everything else :)

Got him home Friday and put him straight in his 40 gallon viv. He has plenty of room. He's about four feet long and about 3 inches around the thickest part of his body. He's hissing and striking when we look in on him.. we don't take off the top just look through the glass and right now he's not happy.. being in blue and all with cloudy eyes doesn't help. We are leaving him along just making sure he has plenty of water in his big water dish but won't attempt to get him out until he sheds.. then we will attempt to fed him. LOL..

I have two more little snakes coming in a couple of months just waiting for it to not be so hot anymore.. then it will be five snakes we have.. whew think I need to stop at that amount but boy aren't corns addictive LOL

If he's really nervous you can drape towels over his viv to give him more privacy.

Good Idea Nanci... he has his two hides in there and at the moment he's been hiding on the cool side's hide and hasn't come out. LOL

I will try the towel suggestion and leave him be for a few more days.. hopefully he shed's soon and since he can see then, he'll calm down some more.

Congrats on the new addition(s)! Yes, corns sure are addicting! With all the influx of new family members going on, just a heads up, if you haven't already you may want to read up on proper quarantine procedures.

Always better to take some extra measures to make sure new and old members of your collection are safe and healthy!

Good luck with everything.
