New "My Partner Had Money to Spend" Additions

Susan

Go Ahead, Make My Day!
Well, he asked if there was anything being offered that would be an excellent purchase and Walter just happened to have some terrific adults available. I gave my partner the list of options, expecting to get only 2, but once again, my partner can't resist a bargain when Walter made a sweet counter when the lavender female became available again.

This is the first two: Mahesh, the hypo lavender het bloodred male and Devika, the lavender het hypo stripe female.

And Walter, if you see this, has the lavender female always been psychotic at feeding time? As soon as she finished eating, she continued to repeatedly strike at me even though I was ignoring her and her viv/tub was back on the shelf. She was so violent about it that I had to actually cover her entire viv/tub so she could no longer see me.

Next is Ornella, the Upper Keys het cinder female and finally the big girl, weighing in at 756 grams, Shyama, the granite female. I can't wait until the weather warms up so I can take all these lovelies outside for a proper photo session.

oh goodness beautiful snakes. What a lucky girl you are. What an excellent partner you have, I need to find me one of those. Like here is a daydream I have all of the time. "Hey honey looks like you only have a few spaces left in the snake racks, let's get you another one and then let's go shopping for the first new snake to put in there" LOL, **sigh** well congratulations, they are awesome new additions.

The hypo lav and lav are goregous but I'm so jealous you got the Upper Keys I wanted her so bad lol. Congrats on your new group, they are beautiful!

I'm pretty aloof about relationships lately (still getting over the end of a long one), but you've made me realize it's time to put myself on the market again... so I can have someone to buy me snakes :p

That granite has ANGRY EYES! >:l

Nice, very nice. I had my eye on a couple of those but with no new cage space I didn't inquire about them. Nice pickups.

I think Susan's partner is someone she works with, not a romantic "partner!' (I hate that use of the word- it's so ambiguous!)

Pepper- you'll spend more on a BF than you'd get back in the snakes he would buy you. You get more snakes if you are unattached!!

So where is Joe? *LOL*

Probably way too entwined with his lovely lady to even bother about corn snakes. The only time I ever hear from him is when he's asking Dean to go fishing.

She's just starting to go blue and wasn't the most cooperative snake to get a nice close-up of. And from certain angles, many corn snakes have "angry eyes", especially the older ones that are completely mature like this lady.

Like Nanci said, if you want to focus on what interests you, stay out of a personal relationship. Otherwise, you always have to consider what your "significant other" (and I really dislike that term, but I have to admit, it works) desires and you even tend to be the martyr, always taking the back seat so they can have what they want. Same thing happens when you become a parent, but you don't mind it so much. Yes, I love my husband, but I sometimes (bill paying time usually) can't help but think where I would be if I hadn't gotten married.

Brent is strictly a business partner. I have a contract drawn up and signed and everything. (Note to self - make a copy of my handwritten amendment to that contract about these new snakes and give it to him or make a completely new version.)

And Jeff, when you use the "stack 'em" method, it's a little easier to find room for just 4 more. However, it's getting more difficult to find proper tubs. I actually had to go to Target as the Walmart I stopped in had nothing I could use. I'm going to have a much more difficult time finding room with all the hopeful keepers from this year, plus everything from '08 and '09 when they outgrow the living room and bedroom areas.

That's a nice group, but my fav has to be the psychotic lavender! Good luck and hope everything goes well for your breeding plans!
