New online morph calculator

The Corn Calculator is a brand new calculator for predicting the outcome of cornsnake pairings. It is all done online so there is nothing to download, and is completely up to date with all proven morphs represented.

As new genes are discovered and new combination names are thought up it will be updated so there will be no worries of it being out of date like downloadable calculators can be.

Every resulting probability is linked to photos so you will have some idea of how your hatchlings will look and how they will look once they've matured.

The CornCalculator can be found at www.corncalc.com

Great calculator and the Motley/stripe part actually works which makes a change!

Just one gene missing though, 'Tessera'.

What about Pied-sided?

Yea, good point, kind of hard to put that into a progeny generator when you don't know its exact mode of inheritance :headbang:

I prefer the GenericGen Wizard myself, first thing i did was clear out all the locuses and re add all the genes set up as i wanted them.

But this will be good for those who don't want to download one.

Thanks all for your comments, both postive and negative :p

This project was done for a number of reasons but mainly;
- there is no download so it can be used anywhere (including the iPhone)
- the genetics are correct and up to date with current thinking and trade names.

I hope that you will find it useful!

Any feedback, problems and suggestions will be gratefully received!

Cheers

Hi all, in terms of what is there / missing (please correct me if I am wrong!)

Terrazzo is there - proven to be recessive.
Tesserra is not there - I don't believe it has been totally proven out.
Pied-Sided is not there - Still too early on this one. It seems to be somehow related to diffused but I don't think it is proven out enough.

I'll add them in when we know exactly what is going on. I'd like to keep this as accurate as possible rather than being speculative.

Is there any others that people know about that I am missing (from either the proven or not proven lists)?

Thanks

There is the calico corn but again not proven as of yet.
Buf of course but i think you can forget about that one for the time being.
Scaleless corns, Ressecive i think, Were for sale at $5000 last season i believe.
Golden (or whateve people want to call it) unproven.
Masque which a sex linked trait similar to bloodred but probably not worth putting on there.
VMS Herp may be selling something new this year.
Is dilute on there?

I think the current thinking is that Pied-sided Probably linked to bloodred but may be ressecive within that?

Tessera is either incompletly dominant or co-dominant, to be proven this season.

Thats all i can think of at the moment.

Bravo! Nicely done gents! I really like the percentage toggle. Make one look all academic at the trade shows.... And are you developing this as an App for the iPhone, or is it just through the browser? A stand alone app would be great, and might I request it for the Blackberry? Where I live and frequent there is often no cell reception............. there could be cash involved for this good a tool.
