New puppy!

I do have another dog too that he can learn from. He is already helping with Faolan learning to walk on a leash. Faolan likes to follow him, so when we are all out walking he almost forgets the leash is there! And last night he was teaching him manners as in "don't steal my bone" hahah. Can someone explain to me exactly what bite inhibition is so I can make sure he learns it?

That dog is way too cute, it can't be real! :p I would think a 6-7 weeks old pup would look way younger, how sure are you that he is actually? You did not sound very sure.

Oh and I took him to the lake today (an area where no other dogs were since he isn't vaccinated yet) and he played in the water and followed my other dog around as he chased some geese, it was so cute! But there were a couple of little kids that wanted to pet him and when they ran up to him it scared him and he cried, poor thing!

He is taking a nap now in his kennel, so adorable <3 (really need to contribute again so I can get the edit function back!!)

Some more pictures!

Be very careful with public places. Parvo lives for years in soil and you don't have to have dogs present to get it, they simply have to be exposed to the virus. He looked like he enjoyed the day though! Ian Dunbar is pure positive training and quite good. He evidently trains the puppy to reduce pressure, and then stop. I don't allow a dog to put their teeth on me at any time, even during play. They learn that they can rough house without biting. A puppy's teeth, even gently applied, can break the skin, especially if there are children involved. I immediately train any dog that comes to my home that teeth are not to go on humans. Licking is fine, teeth is not.

Well there isn't really any place around here where other dogs don't also go. I don't want to keep my little pup all cooped up until he turns 4 months old!

He slept through the night last night without making noise or pooping inside! Yay my sweet boy! <3

So cute! I love dogs with two colored eyes! And all white! Good luck keeping him clean lol!

If you have fenced in yard (for when he's older) watch out for digging! And climbing if it's a chain link.. My husky mix stays inside most of the time but she really enjoys staying out during the winter and spring(what a short spring we had!) and we found out she could climb the fence! She doesn't do it now unless we leave her outside when someone goes on a walk or unless her "dad" drives away and she's outside.

We have a creek that we walk to and she loves to run through it. It's so funny to watch dogs splash through water, even funnier when she was running down it and it dipped to a deep area and she went under. I'm so glad husky's dry fast lol!

Oooh Siberian Huskies are FUN! I remember when ours was little he was a living terror. He's very sweet and snugly, now, but until he learned the pecking order he was a nightmare. I love him to pieces, even if he does stand in front of the TV with it stupid fluffy tail. :p

Here's some pictures of him:

Strangely, we got him in NC as well! His name is Murrey, because he's a furry Murrey. :p

I wish we had the space and time to dedicate to a second one. I really love Siberian Huskies and always meant to show Murrey, life just got in the way and I was never able to.

Beware though... they are freaky smart, while attempting to make you think they're really stupid. Murrey is one heck of a problem solver... it's scary sometimes.

I'm pretty sure I have already seen some of the husky intelligence. I was getting him his dinner a couple nights ago and I have his food in one of those storage containers. He watched me open it and get a scoop out and as soon as the lid shut he went over and tried nosing the latch open so he could get inside! Lol.

HAHA clever boy! Trust me you won't be without funny stories. Most memorable Murrey story:

We put our dogs in kennels when we leave the house and Murrey learned how to bend the door inward to escape. Well, we came home one day and Murrey greeted us at the door all happy, then realized he wasn't supposed to be out of his kennel and ran back to it, got inside and closed the door behind himself!

He left us quite a mess, too. He'd gotten into EVERYTHING (my keyboard was laying in the floor unharmed) including a bar of expensive soap my husband's family had gotten me for Christmas. It was in a pretty package so I kept it on my desk. Well he'd eaten half of it, it didn't agree with him and resulted in a few presents for us amongst the mess of things he'd dragged into the floor. One such present was even left in my husband's slippers.

He's certainly the exuberant, loving, brightness in our family. Our other dogs have their places and we love them dearly, but Murrey is like the life of the party. Literally and figuratively. Like I said, I'd love to get another Siberian Husky someday, they're so extraordinary!

Please keep the pictures of your sweet boy coming!! Makes me wish I could go back to when Murrey was little. They grow up too fast! :(

Well, Faolan is now 3 months old! He has grown so much! And of course he is all wet from playing in the local creek, the boy does love his water :p

Dirty face!

He is beautiful! I too have a new puppy. But I wasn't looking to get a puppy. She's been hanging around our house for a few months. She belongs to my neighbor. Well she got hit by a car (no serious injuries) but the neighbor now says he has never seen the dog before and doesn't know who it belongs to. Well long story short we now have a dog lol.
