Am I confused?

hi i'm Wayne. been keeping Salamanders for two years. have always wanted a tyrannosaurus rex so picking up my first one next weekend! i'm getting a male since they only grow to around 30ft and females get 20~40ft so that's kinder big. anyone else own these?

Here is what he will look like

I know a guy that's been breeding them for about 40 million years and they are so tame.

;)

Wayne

You -do- know they are -only- for the advanced hobbyists right?

Are you aware that they drink only vodka and redbull? and eat only two slices of copper-nickel bread every second full moon?
You should really re-consider... Keeping two Salamanders doesn't make you an expert

No , no everyone is wrong about what they eat. My kids watch a cartoon called Franklin and they very clearly show that you must feed your t rex wet dog food out of a dog bowl that is roughly the size of several bathtubs, even then this will only be about one bite for your t rex and he will undoubtedly destroy the bowl while he eats from it. But it is ok, because one of Franklin's friends assured him that a T-rex would be an excellent pet. We have seen all of this on TV and on PBS no less so it *must* be true.

On a side note, after considering a T-Rex Franklin eventually opts for a pet goldfish.

I saw that episode, but quickly dismissed it as being politically motivated!

I had a trex once, but after it got too big I let it go in the everglades. Its just one, right? No biggie... :grin01:

Based on the "factual" Jurassic Park movies, which proves that lizards in a same sex environment change sex, to propagate the species, then a single T-rex, in a "NO" sex environment, could become A-sexual and begin a sustainable, substantial breeding program.

Wayne, I think your pain pills are going to your head. There is no way, YOU are capable of caring for a T-rex. But thank god you married Christine, she'll be able to take care of it properly.

Is it captive bred??? And I think you where a tad off on how big they get? The females are bigger than the males. Check your facts dude. And good luck they have big appetites.
