Don't forget, all us old farts don't see so well anymore.... everything is blurry. Hence, the most focused pics don't always get the most votes... we are much more used to "soft focus". ;)

Um... hello: Superbowl Sunday is this weekend!!! (Kind of ashamed that the boys didn't think of that sooner *cough cough*) How about "Corny Sports" guys?

To keep up support with my girls, I also 2nd the Valentines Day thing too. :) That could go hand in hand with the flower theme (assuming the men do their job!!!!)

Actually, the aliasing is rather distracting and takes away from the quality of the photo. How many times are you running those through a sharpen filter? :shrugs:
 
How 'bout corns and cars? As is Matchbox cars. You could pick the color of car to match your corn. That's kind of silly. I really like the headshot idea. Although I seem to have a hard time focusing my 4 year old 2.1 Fuji Finepix. Well, maybe its not the camera, its the snakes that won't sit still. My normal has a pair scissors on his head pattern, and my amel has a maple leaf on his head. Maybe he is secretly Canadian:grin01: .

To me a good photo is one that's in focus, exposed correctly, and is composed well. If the focus or exposure is off, I won't post it. IMO, there is no point in having an awesomely composed picture if it's overexposed or out of focus.

As far as sharpening goes, it's normally run through once. My Nikon is 'soft' on that part of picture, so I normally do run it through because I think it looks better with some sharpening on it.
 
I like the V-Day idea as well as the corns and cars. Or we could make dioramas!! Sadly, I do not think I would be able to participate anyway seeing that all I own is a crappy camera phone :( I look forward to viewing the pictures though!
