Here is a different angle:

Both sides are stripe. Front third stripe, middle third motley, back third stripe.

Seen lots of Q-tip motleys but a not a stripe like this.

It's a stripe with a bit of cubing. Not terribly uncommon.

Nope. Just a funky pattern.

How many times has it shed? Sometimes it takes a bit longer for the color to come in on baby amels. They can look like totally different snakes from the day they hatch to after a a few sheds.

Odds are it's going to look a lot like this, just an amel version.

That is a stripe/stripe snake, genetically. Nothing to do with motley at all. The pattern is slightly cubed, and then vanishing. Very common.

A defect? No way! That's a lovely cubed baby! Some people prefer unbroken, bold striping, some like vanishing stripes, and there'll be somebody who will be over the moon to own that beauty!

Although this isn't the right forum for this it really fits the title and is related to this snake.

This clutch was a amel stripe het caramel x ultramel diffused motley het stripe, caramel

All proven in the clutch as well. But this was born in this clutch as well and according to my punnet square and the corn calc shouldn't be able to happen.

Normal pattern animals shouldn't have happened with this pairing. So I was thinking retained sperm. but the previous years pairing was to the ultramel diffused motley het caramel was with a diffused golddust proven male. And unless my eyes mistake me that is a normal Ultramel.
