• Hello!

Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.

Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....

Please be certain that the location field is correctly filled out when you register. All registrations that appear to be bogus will be rejected. Which means that if your location field does NOT match the actual location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected.

Sorry about the strictness of this requirement, but it is necessary to block spammers and scammers at the door as much as possible.

Oh, Craigslist...

She actually DID respond, she found out AFTER she got the corn that she shouldn't cohab them but has no place for another viv which is why she was selling the corn.

Sigh. It is called RESEARCH, people. These are living, breathing, feeling creatures that you are getting on a whim.

Start with a pet rock and work your way up from there.

Some people shouldn't even own a pet rock...

A simple plastic tub would suffice if necessary until she got it rehomed....if you really cared, you'd figure something out!

Oh, you are right, that was mean of me. I didn't mean to put rocks in harm's way!

Meg, I was going to mention that, but I have a feeling she really didn't care either way. Sigh. :nope:

Not a stupid CL post, but I was just poking around CL and found someone in my cuty selling a SCHELTOPUSIK! OMG I've wanted one since I was 12 years old!! I emailed to ask about the price since I'm not really looking to expand right now, but for a scheltopusik I might make an exception...

That's awesome! I got to hold one at a reptile show and it was the neatest creature. I don't know if I'd want to own one, but they fascinate me.

I sold a trio about two years ago on Fauna. Wish I'd have known you wanted some! I inherited them after a herper friend was diagnosed with terminal cancer. They were neat, but I had no real use for them since I don't do many programs since opening the store.

Yeah Chip. I have always wanted one, or a breeding pair. Help alleviate some of the pressure on the wild population by captive breeding. They are amazing creatures.

Typical Craigslist stupidity. If you knew you wouldn't be allowed to keep it, WHY did you buy it in the first place???

"My girlfriend and I just bought this snake at the Pet Expo this weekend.
We had a feeling neither of our parents were going to let us keep him and we were right, unfortunately.
We're asking for 100$, that's what we got it for, we're not trying to make money off the guy.
It's a 2 year old about 3 ft long.
Only serious buyers please, we're trying to move sell him to a responsible owner asap."

I want to know who the heck sold to kids without parental approval.... and add them to my no buy list...

Idiots yes, but in fairness to the seller, we don't know that these are kids. they could be 18+and still living at home.

Very true. Either way, when I start my breeding projects in the future of various animals, I will be making sure that purchasers are allowed to have said animals...

But then again, I get to learn from others mistakes, hindsight an all...
