Oh, Craigslist...

This one is good... A Jevi corn snake for $30. But wait...what is that?!

I thought this one was kind of sad. I also don't understand buying a large snake in this situation. Why not something like a corn snake or a sand boa? Or at least know what you are getting into in terms of adult size before buying?

"I regrettably must sell my red tail boa. I'm deathly afraid of snakes so I thought I would buy one to get over it. Held him for the first year and a half but now he is to big and it freaks me out."

Does look a bit large for that sized prey...and perhaps a little lean...the picture is crap and kind of small to really see well....

im on my mobile so I could zoom on the photos. looks skinny to me and should definitely be eating more than one pinky a week....

I was wondering where you get a Roman tortoise that is evidently a cannibal.......surprised they look that healthy if all they are eating are tomatoes and roman lettuce!

GUYS! GUYS! CHECK IT OUT! I found the extremely rare, elusive TURTOISE! I'm gonna make millions!

And check THIS out. A turtle that only eats Roman Lettuce. See? It's in their name and everything, so it MUST be true.

(For the less tortoise-savvy observers, both of these ads are actually just Russian tortoises. Harhar. :p)

Is that pronounced "tur-TWAS"? And the lettuce and tomato is because they are watching their weight. Turtoise tend to be anorexic, but that's because they are trying to make the finals in gymnastics.

I thought it was track and field they were trying for....turtoise is Russian for turtle...didn't you know that? Or was it Roman for turtle...maybe french....whatever.....

Maybe the boa owner was another one of those people who thinks snakes will only grow to a size their tank can accomodate lol

Maybe he took the boa out of it's real tank and stuck it in the holder tank to snap a photo. Just hoping.

Oh this poor baby :( I know (hope) he is in a feeding bin, but look at his skin :( I hate people.

AND they can't spell....figures.....I'd think if you were going to advertise, you'd make sure there's no stuck shed...

Poor thing. That looks like it must feel horrible. And sorry but how do you not have enough time for a snake... Apart from the time it takes to feed/other miscellaneous small things, they're one of the least time consuming pets you could have...

I always wonder that too, often see people rehoming their snakes "because they no longer have the time to care for them" and just don't get it. I think it is just a better sounding excuse than any of a number of real reasons, such as losing interest or being bored with it etc.
