turn em in!! They need to stop the breeding of these hybrids....as for the other ad on the Chihuahua...I guess spelling wasn't in the cards!
 
Nope, wolf hybrids (of that high content) are not legal in this state. They are legal on the res, but by state law are illegal. Under about 30% is legal, I believe... Clinic I work with has turned away a couple of clients because their animals were wolf hybrids and the vet didn't want to be connected to them because she felt it put her license at risk.

Where is the documentation that lists the % allowed? I'm only finding that "hybrids" are not illegal.
 
I honestly only know what the vet said. I saw the same law you did, that simply excludes hybrids, but the vet in question claims they're still illegal and that treating one would put her career at risk. This was several months ago... I could try to ask her about her sources. She graduated from WSU, so I would presume she is referring to state law. It is entirely possible she's mistaken, I suppose, but she seems pretty sure.
 
I've only personally worked with 4 hybrids and they were all nutty animals...wild but not wild..skittish and would become adrenalized easily......messed up for sure. Pretty sad actually...not a dog, not a wolf....and nothing of the what makes either good except for maybe their looks. They are not great pets if high percentage, need special caging to stay safely contained...and quite difficult around strangers.
 
It may be illegal where your vet is at, and that may be what she's referring to, which would make sense. I know they are illegal in the city of Everett.

That is horrific. Those poor babies. :( Definitely shouldn't be housed together, very different needs... Though that's a bit of a moot point considering that enclosure is completely inappropriate for either of them.
 
There are UTH's that are designed for the inside of the cage...I have some. However, I regulate every heat mat with a thermostat......I'm not sure what people are thinking when they co habitate.....not to mention completely different species...

Just moved into this place a week ago with my six month old daughter and you'll see that the room is available for rent again. The owner did not disclose he was breeding python snakes and, as a loving parent, I can no longer bring her home to this situation. Obvious why he left this detail about the houseshare out of his advert.

The only reason I found out is because I overheard him telling someone over the phone that "something" got out. I asked him about it and he told me it was just a little snake. He decided to come clean and showed me his breeding room with a bunch of tubs with pythons in them. Still adamant that pythons are like any other domestic pet and the python still hasn't been located.

I paid utilities and rent up front. Because I informed the owner that I was uncomfortable with his room with 15+ python snakes, and that I'll have to break my lease, he has been shutting off the utilities when he leaves for work in the morning.

He is not disclosing them in his ad, yet again. For anyone that has animals or children, don't make the same mistake. His name is Ryan Liggett and he lied about having a small turtle and a "little" snake.

Now my daughter and I are staying in a motel room. Just wanted to save someone else the money, time, heartache and from not being able to make an informed decision.

Feel free to inquire with Ryan directly at show contact info. I'm sure he'll leave the pythons out of the housing situation for the next person too.

I had locality Okeetees that were over 850 grams and close to 5 ft....she wasn't all that! Poor thing was harassed too....I've never had one defensive like that. Of course waving your fingers in front of her face would do it.....plus, he was just full of information...uh, she's really really long...I say it's a she....brother!
 
I was excited to see the biggest one in the world, and it just went down from there. "Hey, let's poke and push our hands at the scared, angry beast until it strikes!" "Let's pull the snake out as fast as we can and toss it on the floor!"

Plus, I have a >6' 950g boy. Really? DO your research first before you make yourself look like and idiot. Plus all of the idiots praising him on his handling techniques!!! Good god, if you are that afraid of the thing, you don't deserve to have her.
