Online Corn Snake Calculator

Green Bean

Reptile Chick
Hey all-

I've been playing with the following online genetic calculator and have a question.

http://www.kornnatterlexikon.de/index.php?action=6

I notice it doesn't list some morphs such as Butters. So my question is that while I was playing on it I came across the following outcome:

Caramel Stripe Amelanistic

Does that mean it's a Butter Stripe? Butters are made up of Caramels and Amels right?

Yup. With that particular predictor, it is important to know which components make up the morph you are calculating.

Where "Mick's Prgoeny Predictor" provides trade names and will "fill in the blanks" with the necessary traits for that trade name, the korrnatterlexikon.de one requires you to know what the traits are, and input them individually.

If that predictor tells you your outcome is hypomelanistic caramel, it means ambers. If it says "anerythristic, amelanistic, stripe", you can expect stripe snows.

Yeah that's what I figured. My files won't open with Mick's Progeny Predictor, I get an error saying "Attempt to acess invalid address." I make a new folder to put it in and everything. I had it working about two years or so ago and it never worked since, I think my computer is dying. So I gotta stick with the one online one till the time comes when the new computer fairy decides to drop on by. Maybe if I leave a microchip under my pillow.....

You can also get the Genetics Wizard from http://cornsnakes.nl/

It has most of your common morphs and it lets you add your own. You can also use different ini files to plug in genes for different species. It also has pics for most of the cornsnake genes and morphs and allows you to add your own as well. IMHO this is the best one out there.

Not sure if a Mac program is made yet.

Guys thanks for the program. I was able to open it and play with it. It works wonders. Thanks again.

Did you have the files :vbrun300.dll & vbdb300.dll in the same map as the other files ? Sometimes they are hidden files and are not copied to the new map . You can download them from the internet .
However , you found the program from the famous Mr Poots , this will help you the same way or even better . :crazy02:

why no love for mac lovers???

I've been complaining about that for a long, long time. :D

None of these sort of things are ever made to be Mac compatible for some reason...Not even the trackers. I am testing an online alternative to digital tracking at iHerp, but I have yet to find someone comparable for genetics calculations (so I don't have to think so much ;) ).

Is this calculator still working for anyone? I use it from time to time, and now whenever I do, I get 1/1 normals as the result no matter what.. It used to work..
:twoguns::twoguns:

It's not been working for a few weeks Tom :( Don't know why though :shrugs:

Kornatter used to work for me, but now when I go there everything comes up 1/1 normal? anyone else had this problem?
