Online inventory updated...

I finally did an actual physical inventory of the 2007 hatchlings and put the numbers online. So everything available is now displayed. There are still a few clutches left to hatch as well as a few slow to start feeders, that will be added when they are ready for prime time. That means having taken at least four meals of unscented pink mice.

Expo was real good to us this year again, and sales have been doing pretty well. So the numbers are not as bad as is normal this time of year. I think all total there are only 1,500 hatchling mouths to feed, which is WAY better than it normally is this time of year. Still, more work than any sane person would want to have, but at least I don't feel like things are impossible to handle. I've had some years where a panic attack was staring me right in the face many a time.

The weather seems to be cooling down a bit, so shipping weather is looking better as the August temps subside.

For those of you who don't know, we are only doing one show a year now. That's the Daytona Beach show in August. For one reason or another, all of the shows we used to do got cut from our schedule. And to be quite frank about it, I am glad to have that load off of both Connie's and my own shoulders. The work involved with the animals plus the stresses of doing a show was just way too much to be doing the number of shows we used to do.

So all in all, things are looking up. :wavey:

Now if I can just get these server problems behind me...... :bang:

Well, at least I made it to that show! ;) Great to see you guys and thanks for selling me some awesome snakes!

Until next year....

Hope they are doing well for you. Especially that het Ashy.

Thanks.

Oh you tease! I ended up putting both the ashy and hets back on your table!
:(

Instead, I ended up picking up the anery/caramels and the lavender het bloods. Probably should have got the ashy (or at least a het or two) but just couldn't do it.

Ah, sorry. I thought you picked up the het Ashy. Must have been someone else. Too much going on at that show to keep track of stuff.

Thanks.

I've got a pair het ashy and hypo from you, but not from the show in Daytona. They have found there new home in Netherlands now.
(thanks for the nice corns)

Glad you like them. I had two Hypo Ashys hatch out this year. One is only interested in lizard scented pinks right now, but the other took off right away. I think they are going to be rather interesting looking when they get some size on them and the color starts to fill in.

More photos please Rich!!

The older normal het hypo ashy pair I got from you are so fabulous ... they are definitely Keys normal rather than normal normal, if you see what I mean.

Haha now YOU'RE teasing! Please post pics of YOUR ashys :)

Rebecca

ps- Hey Rich, how the heck would one denote plural ashy corns anyway :) lol

Speaking of online inventory....when do you expect your surplus adults list to go up?

I've got markers on most all of them right now. Just need to go in with a pad of paper and write them down and create the list. Temps are now around 72 in the rooms and will be dropping rapidly over the next week as they go nighty-night for the Winter.

May I ask???...How long do you brumate your snakes for?? :shrugs:
I mean, we just started October.

Three months. They'll be coming back up in January.

We gonna get a heads up on these guys going for sale, Rich? Or are they just going to appear up for grabs? I'd certainly hate to miss out on the first crack because I'm stuck at work....

I don't know how else to do it. If I send out private notices, and forget even ONE person, they'll be miffed that I slighted them.

Heck, it may just be better for me to sell them all to a wholesaler in one fell swoop and just make a single trip to the airport to ship them all off at one time. :shrugs: Adults are heavy, and shipping via FedEx with large heavy boxes is a real smack to the head lately.

Hi, my name is Jeff and I'm a wholesaler. My nearest airport is GSP. Thanks!

That will work. You DO realize that you have to take ALL of them, don't you.... :grin01:

No, I think a day heads up on the Insiders Forum would be fabulous.
