I finally did an actual physical inventory of the 2007 hatchlings and put the numbers online. So everything available is now displayed. There are still a few clutches left to hatch as well as a few slow to start feeders, that will be added when they are ready for prime time. That means having taken at least four meals of unscented pink mice.
Expo was real good to us this year again, and sales have been doing pretty well. So the numbers are not as bad as is normal this time of year. I think all total there are only 1,500 hatchling mouths to feed, which is WAY better than it normally is this time of year. Still, more work than any sane person would want to have, but at least I don't feel like things are impossible to handle. I've had some years where a panic attack was staring me right in the face many a time.
The weather seems to be cooling down a bit, so shipping weather is looking better as the August temps subside.
For those of you who don't know, we are only doing one show a year now. That's the Daytona Beach show in August. For one reason or another, all of the shows we used to do got cut from our schedule. And to be quite frank about it, I am glad to have that load off of both Connie's and my own shoulders. The work involved with the animals plus the stresses of doing a show was just way too much to be doing the number of shows we used to do.
So all in all, things are looking up. :wavey:
Now if I can just get these server problems behind me...... :bang:
