Paradox Pieds

Lynnea

That's "lin-NAY-ah"
Here are two of my pied-sided blood female holdbacks hatched last September. Both did not want to eat in the beginning, but are now eating, thankfully. I like the paradox markings on them--they are the only two like this from the clutch.

Lynnea, speaking of not wanting to eat, it was discovered last year (or remembered, or refined) that the BEST way to get non-feeders going is to feed them boiled pinks. Not just super-hot, actually floated in boiling water for a minute or so, till they are white and rubbery and cooked. I serve them right out of the boiled water like that. It probably gets 90% or more of my non-feeders going first try (and is super-easy to wean them back off of, too). Other people have reported similar results.

Yep, it works smashingly! I've only ever had 1 corn that wouldn't take them and 1 thayeri (not that that should be a surprise they can be nightmares to get feeding in my experience LOL), and the most I've ever had to feed them is 3 boiled then they go right onto regular f/t.

Your babies are really cool looking BTW, I love the paradox markings!
