This is a pretty "frivolous topic" to use Dean's terminology, but I was curious as to the preferred cornsnake pattern among the members of the forum. Personally, I don't think we can improve on mother nature here...I am going with the tried and true original recipe. (although aztec does come in a VERY close second)

When it comes to "pattern morphs" I'm a sucker for a good "zippered" Aztec....I'm a bit partial tho because its the only "pattern morph" I keep :*)

Well, if most of my breeding projects are leaning towards bloods, pewters, diffused lavs, whiteouts, etc...... ;)

I must admit I am a sucker for a good pattern. Joe laughs at me because whenever we go to shows I pick my snakes by color and pattern. If I had to pick just one I would say that I am partial to the aztec/zig zag types of patterns. But motleys and stripes would be really close behind.

I didn't like having to make a choice! I love all the patterns, but chose motley because of the variety it displays. However, the ultimate pattern hasn't been created...yet. I'm working on it though!

I say skip the pattern and go totally patternless! Then again...I have yet to perfect it.... :(

Some day I'll figure it out.

Gotta go with diffused. But I want my diffuseds to end up patternless. ;)

I was thinking the same thing. I could only make one vote so I voted Striped but I like the Diffused as well. Putting them both together might get the patternless effect if line bred enough.

I really love all of the patterns (even normals) but since you forced us to pick just ONE... I went with Aztec, because I really love how mixed up the pattern looks when it covers from head to tail. I love motleys and stripes though too and I'd really love a patternless snake. So, if I were to vote acurately, there'd be a check next to all of them! lol.
