Pictures from the Tampa Show

April 21st and 22nd.

April Tampa Show

This is now owned and operated by Repticon. It used to be the Florida International Reptile Show (I think that is what the title was?). Repticon bought it out last year.

I have not been impressed with the Repticon shows in Orlando, but considering this was originally another show completely, I am hoping this one will be better.

When it was owned and operated under the original name it was the first reptile show I went to with Joe - it was early last year. That was where I picked up Clementine - my first cornsnake!

The venue looks like it will be bigger and it looks like they have been trying to promote it more. I know I will want to go - I can't help myself!!

We ended up going Saturday afternoon after the yard sale. Got to see Mike and shake his hand but wife wouldn't wait so i could chat. Sorry Mike.

I was looking for a albino gopher especially an applegate but wasn't able to find one. Seen a hypo bull, and a ghost bull, but passed them up. We did end up buying a couple of Halloween crabs.

Which was an impulse buy because my kids found them. I am learning the hard way they take more work than a hermit crab. As well as a completely different setup.

We had a good time, other than my wife not letting me visit with anyone. She was afraid i would start spending money so she tried to keep me moving LOL.

Wish i could have came sunday, but today (Monday) is spring clean day and everything had to be at the curb by 7 am this morning so i spent the remainder of the weekend cleaning up the yard and cleaning out the sheds.

What Amigo? Did you get a new snake? I haven't seen any pictures of him! :sidestep:

(PS, good news!)

No, I know exactly what a Carpet Python looks like- that's the snake above that Katie wasn't sure of. Actually, look at the two Gophers- they looked, in coloration, very much like the mystery snakes, except mystery snakes were much bigger and heads more developed/wider/chunkier. I don't know. Next time I'll take a picture.

Nanci

Sorry, Nanci - I was referring to Katie's picture. I think our wires are crossed, but your post confused me, so let me know if I'm not understanding you correctly. :grin01:

Now I'm confused! Actually, there were two snakes at the show that were really cool, but no one knew what they were. A bunch of people in chat were guessing.

Nanci

Did I sneak him on ya Nanci?

Well, I _thought_ you bought a snake, but since there weren't any pictures, I couldn't be sure. lindsey Pike is the hognose guy's name. I didn't see the donation tortoise! I need one of those!

Not to be mean...but I believe it's been said several times in multiple threads and in chat that it's NOT a carpet python.
