Pink the Blizzard

She STILL has an attitude! She just shed today, weighs in at 246 grams.

Very nice! My son wanted to see some blizzard photos, so this was timely too. Thanks for sharing.
 
OK, time for an update on Pink!! This year she laid her first clutch of eggs. (She actually laid a clutch last year, but they molded.) I bred her to El Dorado, my Gold Dust.

Male: Gold Dust ( Ultramel, Caramel )

Female: Blizzard ( Amel, Charcoal )

Phenotype:
1 / 2 Ultramel het Charcoal, Caramel
1 / 2 Amel het Charcoal, Caramel


10 out of 11 hatched and I ended up with the exact expected ratio 5 ultramels, 5 amels. :D

The babies are doing fine and will be shedding in the next day or so.

Here is a current shot of Pink. She just shed and looks gravid, I'm thinking she is going to double clutch. I put her lay-box back in her tub.

This has got to be the worst progression thread I've ever come across :D That pose of her's is just too funny, and adorable...though I doubt that's impression she's trying to give.
 
Hehe. I must admit I leave HUGE gaps in my threads, It's like, hmm two years later maybe I better post a photo!

I just went back and re-read this thread for the first time since Jan 09. She has really grown, and changed, a lot from that little pink worm back in 07. :D
 
Purty :) "Very Striking" Haha... The eyes seem to be glowing red! So what's the term for a grown up hateling?
 
I must say, she has only drawn blood a couple of times and it's not like it was squirting all over the carpet or anything. :D

Usually if I reach in quick and pick her up she just deals with it. It's when she sees me coming that she puts on the show.

She has been sitting in her lay-box under the moss all day.

LOL...I wasn't criticizing your lack of updates, just the lack of variety in poses :) Her colouring has indeed developed nicely.
