PJC Sunkisseds!! New Pics

Here's an update on the Sunkisseds that I got from Jay & PJ last fall. They're doing quite nicely and are feeding weekly on 1 fuzzy/1 pinky per meal! The female has some really white cheeks which jumped out at me when I was recently showing her off to a couple of students.

The female is wild! I like the aberrancy in the male as well. They're both amazing Sunkissed examples!

They are doing great Brent. I like the "aztecy" pattern of the male but the girls head pattern is crazy. I like the variances in the patterning in this line and the overall coloration just pops. The parents produce some very interesting snakes. The mother is gravid now and I should have her eggs in the incubator in a couple of weeks. Hopefully we will all be able to see a Sunkissed Anery this year and if Murphy is super nice to us this year maybe a Sunkissed Anery Motley. ;)

Hopefully we will all be able to see a Sunkissed Anery this year . . .
If I can work through my current space constraints between now and summer (which I'm sure I will!), we may need to talk . . . :) Of course if you were talking Sunkissed Charcoal we'd be doing more than just talking!

What?...Are you saying my Sunkissed Anerys aren't what they ought to be?...... JK. But if you want Sunkissed Charcoal you will need to see Mr. Jeff Mohr. ;)

Here I tease you about the female's white cheeks, and then don't take pictures or post them. Well, I've made up for it and took some pics today!

Oh man, I *love* the white checks and nose--! Makes her look kinda like a clown with a big, happy grin! Of course, most look like they are grinning all the time, anyway. Must be all those tasty mousies.

Great pictures Brent. The white on the cheeks is pretty cool. I wonder if any of the others from that clutch exhibit this. I also notice on that girl that she has some really high white scales at the bottom of her sides. One of the Sunkissed Motleys does this as well. It is almost like pied sided but not quite. Yes? The cheeks on that girl are wild though. They actually look like they are outlined with a greyish color.

That would be neat to know if any of the other have it. I actually didn't notice it until recently. Not sure if I'm unobservant or if it just pops now that she's growing. :shrugs:

That was my thought as well. Not that she's het Pied Side or anything (or is she . . . Jay are you hiding a project from the rest of us?!?!), but yes, that is what I would compare it to.

Makes you wonder what it would look like if she wasn't a Hypo! :eek1:

Those two have got the coolest head patterns ever!! And I love the white cheeks! How cool!

Ok Brent,
I went and did a little investigating and this is what I found. Both the male and female Sunkissed Motley exhibit this "white cheek" look. The cheeks on these two are very white but lack the outline border that yours has, maybe due that it is homo Motley. Another thing I really noticed about your Sunkissed and the Sunkissed Motley that I have is this really high white markings that is running up on the sides of them from the belly. Almost like "pied" in the bloodreds. I am 99.9% positive that this is not pied but nevertheless it is giving them a pretty striking look. Here are a couple of pictures to show what I mean. The mother to these is gravid right now. Maybe these traits may be something that can be reproduced. C'mon pippies!

Now that is pretty darn cool. I think that "penciled in" list I gave you needs to be changed to pen.

I would agree that it's probably not pied side, but at the same time it almost forces you to look for a pied side to at least test it out. :eek1:

That is very interesting. I wonder if I'll see it this year? Would be nice to have some more sunkissed motleys out there for comparison. Good luck with this years clutch!!!
