Decisions...decisions...which one to pick..........................................

How about one with a bit of an aztec pattern. She is an '02 second clutch hatchling, and was EXTREMELY tiny at hatching, but a great eater from the start (it was "fun" finding pinkies small enough for her). She's finally starting to get some size on her and is up to eating "medium" sized pinkies.

Don't know what's up........

What you see is what I know.
That snake is the result of a Love's Reverse Okeetee X a pet store Snow.
I sold that snake to a young guy who lived with some people I know. He lost the snake and moved out. The snake made it through the winter and the barn cats and was found in the wood pile in Feb. The guy found it and turned it loose. When he told me he'd found it and released it, I told him if he found it again to keep it and I'd come get it.
This is what it looked like when he returned it to me.

It was about 6 mons. in this pic.

I've got a few from the same parents this year that look similar. I'll keep them to see how they develope.

I agree, that's the only type of amels I like. The deep and fully saturated colors do it for me. Somewhere between that sunglow and my amel, I think there's something even cooler to be found. :)

So if I can get rid of the white on mine (hopefully with the bloodred she's carrying) I think I can get some really nice amels, too. (Almost sounds like a contradiction of terms, "nice amel" LOL)

Now if I can find a gene that gets rid of those pink eyes, I'm all set. ;)

(I must be an "amel snob." hehe!)

Deep colors.....

This little female is a sibling to my 'Speckled' male. She shows some really nice deep, dark color.

I like. Isn't it amazing what can come from the same clutch? :)

BTW did the speckled one breed yet? Or is that next year? I'm curious to see the results from that.

Also, are/did/will you be doing any "orange X red" with candycanes? I'm curious to see how that cross works out. :) (I'm sure it would definitely be too much to ask that we could have a "make orange saddles" simple trait, eh? LOL)

This is the Speckled males 2nd year. I was hoping he'd breed his mother this year but he was scared to death of any female I put him in with. I'll cool him this winter and try again next year.

I crossed the male and female that produced him and got 5 amels and a bunch of Snows this year. I'll be keeping all of the amels back this year to see how they develope.

I do have a good sampling of Candycane bloodlines (SerpenCo and Pinello Reds and Soderberg Oranges) and I do believe I'll try an Orange X Red Candycane project. I honestly believe I'll end up with some favoring the Orange and some favoring the Red and a bunch inbetween.

This is one of the babies from My Orange Candycane X Snow het Charcoal. I did this cross to prove if my male was het anery. All amels out of 8 good eggs, I'm pretty sure he is not het anery.

I am very excited to see so much orange! The others are more red.
