Possible Bruise??

CraziiTii

Tyrannosaurus
Hey everyone. Tonight I found a green-ish blue spot on my corn's belly. I don't know too much about snakes, but it looks like a possible bruise to me. For all I know it's feces passing through, but I'm not sure. He has a white underside so I guess you might be able to see bowel movements? Anyway, here's a few pics. Please let me know what you think! I'm worried about my little guy. :(

Ps. that's a birthmark on my pinkie.

I noticed no one has posted anything, although I am not an expert I am sure that is normal. My Amel has the same thing, I think it is food in the small intestine or bowel in the beginning portion of the large intestine.

It's normal; not sure what organ it is (liver would be my guess) but you can see it on most young albino hatchlings :)

I figured it was one of the two, but I wanted to be sure. He's my first corn, so I just want him to be healthy! Thanks everyone for the input though!

I had that same confusion with my first snow, but once I realised that I could see her *heart* I figured it must be either liver or feces.

You know what, the current issue of Reptile Magazine has an awesome section on snake anatomy. I highly suggest getting it for a reference!

Did you know if you hold a very light-colored snake up to a strong light you can even see its lung breathing???

You can see that little spot on my 08 creamsicles, too. And you could since the day they were born. It's just one of those normal things for a lightly colored belly.

Yeah, I guess I just never noticed it before? He's a bloodred but has a beautiful white belly. Thanks again everyone. :)
