PRO EXOTICS RAFFLE - WINNERS CHOSEN!

I think it depends on their personality. Some will hide and not move. Some move a mile a minute checking everything out. How lethargic is it? You may want to soak him a little. He maybe a little dehydrated from the shipping. That usually encourages them to drink. I would also contact the breeder who sent you the baby. They would want to know if the baby is not acting right. Plus, they might be able to tell you if it is the babies personality or if there is a cause for concern.

Whew!!! Even with the cold weather, I am very happy to say that everyone got here just fine :) Sassy and some freshly shed.... just the way I like them :) hehe Gorgious babies. Thank you Candace and Doc Walker for my babies and thank you to all who donated all their great babies :)

Half of my babies have been shipped and arrived safe. Remaining trio will be sent next week (to Florida, so weather isn't too much of an issue)

Yesterday afternoon they had a winter weather advisory out for here. Up to 6inches of snow over night! I was like crap! Murphys going to end up hanging from his tail on the end of one of my swords yet! Then... late last night, the whole storm went east! We didnt even get the rain they were calling for before the snow. Guess the threat worked this time! hehe :)

Gave them a little soak when they arrived and did exactly what Doc said to do in the email, and then moved them into their new homes. Just checked on him and found him dead in almost the same place he was placed in this morning. Not sure what to do now.

Well, they each had their own tub on their own shelf of the rack. That's about as isolated as I could get them. Talked with Doc and we worked things out.

That sucks I am so sorry. I would invest in a couple tubs with lids that you can put in another room for the time being. I bought a few small tanks at a 2nd hand store for 5-10 dollars. Any new snakes get set up in those in my bedroom no matter who I get the snake from. Some times the stress of shipping can bring out problems that the breeder couldn't see. I received a sick snake from someone this year that was great and has great BOI's. Just another one of those weird things. But I am glad that you and Doc came up with a solution.

If at all possible, quarantine in another room, completely. If that's not an option, at the very least, on opposite sides of the room from the rest of your animals.
Putting them in the same rack exposes your other snakes if there's something wrong with the new arrival(s).

One of my winnings..
