Thanks for that Beth! I was kinda hopeing to catch a few here as well. I know some were kinda following this thread.

I know that I, for one, will be trying my best to warn ppl if/when I see them looking at certain ads :)
 
Just as an update, someone did back down from recieving their prize and MotleyMedusa7 was the alternate winner! Congrats to her! She will be getting her snakes from me this weekend. :)

I'm sorry to hear that even your replacements are dying.

After seeing what Bob went through, I was afraid this might happen. I was hoping I was wrong, but obviously not. :(
 
I haven't posted in the BOI thread, I was seeing if I should start my own thread, or add to the one already in progress.
 
Personally I think that a new thread should be start. I think it might be more of an impact on the him and the community if multiple beware threads were up. Nobody is going to read 50 pages to find out how many victims there are.
 
Just wanted to say thanks again to Candace :) we picked up our pair from her today & we think they are beautiful classics! We are going to be letting my friend,Michelle, come choose which she wants for her Christmas gift & my friend,Kristen,who we gave our rescue Amel,Cherry Blossom, started asking what they looked like..I asked-so does this mean you are wanting another? she said..well,you know I do! so she will be getting the other. the funny thing about these 2 friends wanting cornsnakes is that until this year both of them were Scared of snakes,but after interacting with ours now want them! I think it's cool to give snakes to our close friends,so we'll be able to see them! :) anyway,thanks for the babies~ they look great! :)

Hi everyone. It was an amazing surprise today. So much has happened in the weeks since the fire, this was off of my radar.

Your generosity and support is just awesome. A very public thank you to Candace for her thoughtfulness and effort.

When I opened the letter from Candace today, it literally stopped me in my tracks and took by breath away. I called out to my wife Nicci to tell her about the check. She was also blown away.

The PE fire has been a life changing experience. Both good and bad. We lost thousands of animals. None of the snakes we found after the fire have made it, they have all passed. There was such heavy smoke, I was worried that they might have RI issues, and they did.

20 years of work has been lost. There is no replacing that.

But we can move forward. We have some insurance, it will cover about 20% of our loss. That is enough to do SOMETHING. And we will. I don't know what the snake future holds. I am still trying to get phones and internet hooked up.

The support from the reptile community has been overwhelming. It means so much to us. Thanks again to Candace, and the rest of the Cornsnakes.com supporters. We will not forget it.
 
It's things like this that make me proud to be a member of this community. :)

Robyn, I look forward to seeing you guys rebuild, and come back from this. You've all done so much for the community. I'm happy we were able to do something for you guys in return.
 
I am kinda glad we were able to fly under the radar then! Makes it an extra special surprise :) I am so glad that Candace did this and that a lot of us were ablt to join in to help :) Was a huge honor to be able to help someone who really needs it and appreciates it as well :) I hope you are able to get on your feet soon and get to where you were before. Big hopes for yous in the future!!! :)
