Outside in natural light. The puppy kept trying to "help" me while I was taking these and it shows, LOL!

She's gorgeous! She's here and she's exploring her civil but being quite shy so going to leave her be (or try really hard lol). She is night and day compared to the other snake. And she's just stunning!

Thank you everyone! I do think she is going blue as Tavia said. I can't wait to see what she looks like after she sheds!

Thanks Nanci. I'm not one to really give up on something I've really wanted for a long time. Things happen and life happens and I must say that I'm really blessed to have found this forum and the people on it. The tips, advice, reassurance, kindness, and help have been so incredibly amazing! I'm still sorry that I couldn't do more for Phoenix but he was already to far gone. I did weigh this baby when I got her, just to make sure that my scale was right and she did come out as the 14 grams that Tavia said she was so the other baby really was only 3 grams. This ghost is totally different. She's far more active, much MUCH larger, and she has a muscle structure that the other one didn't have. He could barely hold his head up let alone climb up the wall. Was a heartbreaking experience but the people on here have been irreplaceable and so kind. No one I'm around cares for snakes so none of them were extremely upset that I lost mine. It was really nice to have the people here. You all are incredible!! :)

I totally freaked out cause I couldn't find her anywhere in her viv!! I was so worried that she got out. I lifted up the little statue hide in her viv twice and didn't notice her in it either time I picked it up. I didn't realize there was a lip around the edge of the little statue and she was wrapped around the bottom of that. I was in panic mode thinking she had somehow managed to escape. I don't know how she could have because there is weight on the lid but I searched and searched until I finally found her lol. She scared me.

I did manage to get a couple of photos of her though and she is definitely blue. I think it is a pretty awesome experience right out of the gate with getting her (probably not for her :( ) but I'll try and keep a close eye on her without disturbing her to much and keep the humidity in her viv up so hopefully she has a nice clean shed.

Well explains why she was hiding away in her warm hide. Makes me feel bad that she had to travel and is going through it before she even got to really explore her viv. I am excited to see this process though and what she'll look like after. And now I know where she'll be when I can't find her. Would it be ok to stuff some wet paper towels up in the top of it and make it a moist hide?

I think it's safe to say that Spectra is out of blue? her eyes look pretty cleared up today and the photo doesn't show it very well but she is quite a bit more brown then she was when she came, do they normally have a different color out of blue before they shed?

Yeah, a lot of time they are a slightly different color than normal in the "clear phase" before actually shedding. They might still look a little dull then too. Depends a bit on the morph. And she will likely be changing colors quite a bit every time she sheds for the next year or two, that's when most of the changes occur.

I'm excited to see her changes! I love her eyes, they are so expressive, almost like cartoon eyes. I didn't notice her body get super dull at all, mostly her eyes. Is it less noticeable in ghosts because of their normal color?

I've seen your Vash, what does her dam look like? Do you know? I know she's het charcoal but does she have any others?

Spectra is 100% het charcoal and 50% poss het motley and amel, could be a few other things too. Her dam seems to have a bunch of hets. Here are some pictures of her dam, pictures are courtesy of Prismatic Reptiles. Her dam is a super sweet snake, I got to hold her for about an hour.
