RIP Clementine, my beautiful boa lassie. (Updated PM results)

Elle (((Hugs))) I am so sorry you are going through all of this. Your strength inspires me though. You will be in my thoughts dear friend.

Thank you Tim. I know we and a few other members have had our fair share of sorrow recently with the passing of beloved pets, but what can you do but stay strong for yourself and the others :)

Not really J9. Got some blood tests taken on Wednesday the 5th so still waiting for those results. And since wee Wolfie was kept in due to finding the worms I'll be back to collect him soon and get a few more guys in for testing.

No one else is sick or showing symptoms and thats been almost 2 months. Thats the best I can hope for just now :)

Oh I forgot to mention that Wolfie and Minerva both tested negative for inclusions in the blood. But that does not rule out IBD entirley. I got those results via the phone today. I will be picking up hard copies tomorrow.

Minerva also had a high white blood cell count. Shes going in with me tomorrow for a lung wash to get bacterial cultures. Shes been on countless anti biotics since she came to me with breathing problems back in December. Neither Baytril or Amakin have worked on her. She doesn't bubble, there is no discharge of any kind and she is eating pooping and shedding perfectly well. But there is SOMETHING going on and there has been for the last 7 months with me that I need to know about.

Elle, I am so very sorry for your lose. Having IBD in your collection just makes it even sadder. I want you to know that I luvs you girlie and I am hugging you from afar as well as sending my wishes for a happy, healthy remaining collection for you. I completely understand your feelings towards all your animals! I too love my boas deeply.

I strongly believe that how you are dealing with the situation is of the utmost top line. You are a strong young woman and I think you will be the one to get through to so many more people on proper quarantining than anyone else probably ever has. I applaud you for your strength and integrity.

I know there is nothing I can say that will make this any better, just know that I too feel your pain and I am so proud of you and how you are handling the whole thing. No one can say you are not completely honest and responsible. Your compassion and strength is a lot to be admired! I will be awaiting your thread with all your personal insight and pictures. I will be saving it to my external hard drive for further educational needs here in Maine. (As long as you ok it first of course!)

Big hugs and a kiss on the cheek!
PJ

Couldn't log into the thread on the UK forum. You have to be a member. Hope you figure out what the problem is with your other snake. Why not just do a tracheal swab instead of a lung wash. Less risk of killing them.

I'm so sorry, I think she's the prettiest snake I've ever seen picturse of, no joke. What type of boa was she? *snake noob*

I can't imagine one of my babies dying... But that's the circle of life for you.
