Rosie is growing!

She looks wonderful J9. I think Charlie really needs this kind of doggy companionship. His relationship with other dogs at the moment is LEAVE! or else he tries to hump them. Roll on Wednesday!! Snip snip snip...

Rosie and I have just had a fun time clipping her nails! She thinks it's a great game to hold still until I'm just about to clip, then pull her paw away. It takes about an hour because she's so excitable and I don't want her to think it's a nasty thing by telling her off. She thinks being told she's a 'good girl' means she must do a lap of honour and shake one of her toys to death before we can proceed to the next paw.

lol awww so cute that'll be the terrier in her my youngest jack does that, then you come home and its like teddy war has taken place stuffing every where

Rosie has got into a bit of a habit of jumping up when she's excited, so we've been working on 'sit'. As you can see from this picture, it takes a lot of concentration for her to keep still! Then she had to let off steam by murdering her favourite toys.

Sorry I though a lurcher was something crosswed with a greyhound, or so the hunting mags my dad gets say:eek:
No worries! Whippet crosses give the mini version! Rosies breeders do the cross specifically for hunting rabbits. A lot of lurchers are mixtures of greyhounds with collie and other sighthounds like deerhound. The first cross of whippet and bedlington is supposed to give the turn of speed with the hard feet, harsh coat and 'gameness' for working over rough ground.

She is adorable, Janinie, and so cute.
Thanks Eric. Ellie was such a big part of my life that I wasn't sure I'd make a decent owner for a new dog. Rosie is such an exhuberant loving little dog that she literally gives me a reason to be happy! No matter how tough my nightshift, when I get in she needs to go out and play with her friends instead of me going straight to bed and brooding, so off we go and I get my balance back.

Here's Rosie checking the mice are all ok, and with my eldest boy asleep on the couch!
