Seriously In Search Of a PRO!

Yep. That just means he's an Anery that has a 66% chance of being a carrier of each of those other genes. :)

with, what, over 55000 possible color/pattern combinations possible, I don't think anyone can come close to knowing them all...

Black Albino is just another name for Anery A. That is what he is, anery. If he meets up with a female who is, or carries any of his possible hets, then you will find out if he is het for them, but until then he is just possible het for stripe, amel, hypo and caramel.

...and a 33% chance that he may NOT be carrying each of those genes. He may not be carrying any of them at all.

As Nanci says, the only way of testing a "possible het" is to mate it with something that is proven to be (or to be carrying) the morph in question, and see what pops out of the eggs.

I'd like to know why the cryptic question to begin with? Seems an odd way of going about asking about the genetics of someones snake on a forum that has MANY breeders who know their stuff.

Well as I said, I did not want my "lack of knowledge" being confused with any idea's of possible "accusations" by the seller. Some people can be touchy that way... And since I am NEW at all this... I am just "posting cautiously"...
Put bluntly... I am "uninformed" - NOT "questioning possible fraud"... Does that answer your question?

AND....
THANK YOU ALL!! I get it now... makes more sense when put that simply. Sheeesh...have I got a LOT to learn! Thankx again!!!
