I'm looking at number of posts ive done, and looking at rep - So ive posted loads, got no rep - so does that mean you should slow down posting?
Im not being self absorbed lol but im just worried about my lack of ''forum etiquette'' lol....
 
If number of posts correlated directly with amount of rep then it would follow that any chimp who can type ten characters or more or drivel would also have the a ton of rep points. Which puts said chimp on the same standing as a person who makes relevant thoughtful observations. It's a slippery slope.:rolleyes:

i only rep for good things like useful facts or the such. i dont do the drama of some threads when someone burns someone and 3 posts later its someone saying dang, i ran out of rep or id rep you for that burn. meh. not my deal on that one.

The chimp cliques tend to support each other and drive up their respective reps.....:rolleyes:
 
There is some relationship, because if you never post anything, you can't get any rep. But I seem to get repped when I say something kind or something smart & useful, so it isn't just how much you post as that you say something that somebody finds meaningful or helpful.

Edit: Look at Lucille -- less than 900 posts and 12000 rep -- she does not post all that often but they are really GOOD posts so everyone reps them. And no, Lucille didn't pay me to say that! :sidestep:
