Oh this is awesome, what a way to start a Monday, this may be a whole other thread, don't want to hijacks this one. :eats02:

You guys are laughing now, but I met my true love here :)

This reminds me of something...WARNING!! BAD WORDS!!

Is he good?? I want a tattoo. I know almost exactly what I want. I saw it in the other tattoo thread- krene's snake/flower tatt on her ankle/foot, only with Gartersnake. She actually e-mailed me the drawing and permission to use it. My problem is money! I almost thought I could afford it last payday, after working 40 days straight, but then had some unexpected vet expenses...

I live in Gainesville, but visit in Ohio all the time, so I was looking at shops up here, too. The artist HAS TO be able to do perfectly realistic, though.

But- it has to wait, again...
He's pretty good actually, Ill get a link to his work and forward it to you, he wont take money from me but I give him a something, something anyway.

One of my favorite movies.....

Have you guys ever seen the movie Tattoo with Bruce Dern? I used to love that film. He used to be one of my favorite actors.

I heard of it but I have not seen it, I guess Is should check it out.

When I watch Pulp Fiction I laugh at that scene every time because I really do a Foot Fetish, maybe I shouldn't be admitting that in public...LOL:eatpointe

I have not had a chance to get inked yet ;) I can say I am scared of needles and all that but I know it can't be any worse then delivering a 9lb baby with no drugs right???

I want something that represents my 4 kids, I was thinking 4 little maple leafs would be cute and I of course need a snake. I was thinking of a little red snake going around my upper arm.

Well I cant speak for delivering a baby, Ive seen it don't though.....LOL

I have a high threshold for pain but its not bad and you can take a break if you need to

I have two tattoos. My first is just a small silhouette of a hammerhead shark on my shoulder that I got after my first shark dive over 10 years ago. I don't have a picture of it, but I'm planning to have it covered over with a larger, more realistic and detailed version when I can afford to, with a full underwater scene with sharks swimming over a coral reef and a scuba diving tree frog in the foreground (my nickname is Little Frog, lol).

This is my more recent tattoo. I got it a few months ago as a tribute for my beloved cat, Astra, who had died at the age of 17 a month prior. Her named meant "star, or star-like" in Latin, so I got a tattoo with the silhouette of a cat sitting in the moon, staring up at a large star in the sky to represent her. :)

I love it! <3

Mine

My tattoo is a memorial tattoo for a baby cousin who died in my grandmother's arms at 17 days old. A month later to the day my grandmother passed away. The daisy was my grandma’s favorite flower with the skull representing their death.. My aunt survived breast cancer so I did the pink daisy so that encompasses it all.

I've always wanted to get a tattoo, but I've not figured out what I've wanted so far. That, and I don't know if my skin will handle the ink. I have a lot of skin allergies, so it.. might be problematic. The worst thing I can think of is having an allergic reaction to the ink and it basically destroying the tattoo.

Um, sorry my cat's tribute disappointed you?

Adorable cat tattoo. I love the flowers in Jillians as well. I'd love to get a tattoo of some paw prints but I'm prone to cellulitis, so It'd be in my better judgement to avoid risking it -.-

Awesome tattoos! I love the cat in the moon, I lost two kitties within two weeks this past July, I know the pain of your loss. For those of us who have no children (and even those who do), they truly are our babies.

Nanci, thank you for that clip. I love that movie, that is one of my favorite CDs, and I haven't seen that in a long time!

And to those of you who are afraid of needles, it is NOTHING like getting a shot or giving blood. I pass out when I give blood, and I have to do it often. It is the vein intrusion I am squeamish with.

A tattoo feels like a pin being dragged over your skin, or, with the shading needles, a row of pins. It is more annoying than painful. And after a few minutes your body sort of goes into a different mode and blocks out the pain. Not that the whole thing is a walk in the park, some areas are WAY more sensitive than others, like I squirmed a bit when she was going on the inside of my arm, and I know that the rib area can topple the manliest of men, but bring your iPod, calming thoughts, and a Vicodin if you can get one!

And whatever you do, RESEARCH your artist. It took me a year to settle on the girls who did my arms and feet. And ALWAYS reject when your buddy says "hey, my cousin is learning how to tattoo, and he will do it for a 6 pack!". You get what you pay for, my friend.
