This is my most unique:
169ke8i.jpg

She's a 2011 scaleless. I haven't named her yet, and don't guess I'd consider her my favorite, although she's my most valuable.
im very curious as to how she has no scales, be it im new to the snake world but none-the-less i have never heard of a scaleless snake. she is quite beautiful but what is the reason that she was born without scales?

It's a recessive trait, just like amel or any other -only this trait leaves no (well, very few) dorsal scales. Their bellies are scaled as normal. Here's a picture of a scaleless shed beside the shed of a normal of the same size:

If you look closely at the snake's tail, she does have some scattered scales there, as well as her neck and a few down the spine.

thats really neat. does it pose any threat to her? like say being easier to hurt, or easier to get cuts, scratches, mites, ect?

This girl never gets much feedback when I post pictures, but I really like her. She's a hypo, but apparently red factor as well since she has a very dark red coloration in person (these were taken with a flash).

Well, scales never stopped a mite; but without a doubt cuts and scratches could occur more easily with no "armor." In captivity with a f/t diet, best I can tell so far, there aren't any issues. Breeding, etc. is supposed to be identical. I have a while to go for that, though.

She has such a dark beautiful red with a hint of orange. I think she's a beautiful snake!
