Siren: 08 Sorong chondro progression!

I am so so pleased for you Debb! I need a female amazon too, and more chondros. Urgh I has my green jealous eyes LOL. Can't wait to see pictures of your new bunch :)

That's a fantastic looking animal Elle! Wow.
I'm not online much anymore as Damien has a new home, I hope your collection is doing well though & drop me a pm sometime :)

Thanks, Elle.:) I will be sure to post photos after I get them.
Actually, I, also, need to take some updated pics of Jayden (just have not had much time, for pics, as of late).

Yep, you do need to get yourself a female ATB, so that Devil worm can have himself a future girlfriend,... and ~at least~ one other Chondro, if not more, as well.:)
So, hurry up.;)

I'm hurrying! I'm currently saving for a trip to Vienna and Germany to see a very good friend DJ at club PI and then off to mad industrial festival. Whoooo!

So erm chondros can wait for now :)

Siren finally got moved into a custom made enclosure (made by loxocemus, thank you!). She loves it and I wake up to being able to properly see her pretty little self beside my bed every morning :)

OOOOhhhh!! I take it the lovely little lady likes her new digs??? It looks really nice and fills my head with ideas... if only I knew how to act on them properly. LOL.

It is hard to believe that she used to be mostly yellow. She looks to be mostly green now!

Beautiful, Elle!

Good looking little guy. I also like that little enclosure he's in. I'd love to score a chondro or an ETB one day. I know they're not too good for handling, but they sure are nice to look at.

Neat looking enclosure Elle. You might want to go with a little smaller perch for her right now. It should be about as big around as her largest body size. Should hold the humidity perfectly for you!

Yep Meg I will be changing the size of the poles, but I can't do that until next week when the pipe arrives :)

I'm a bit concerned, I have woken up the last two mornings and she has been grounded. I think it's because of the perches... but then she sits on them all day, and grounds herself at night? Temps are good, it's not too warm as I thought that would be an issue. Temps where she was grounded was 74 which is the coolest spot in the box. Hottest spot is 84 right under the temp probe. I think she is feeling a bit insecure about being in such an open tub compared to her baby box which was low and quite dark. Think I will cover up 3 of the sides with black paper... Could there be any other reasons? Shes not eaten in 2 weeks due to holding in a poop for 7 weeks and I refused to feed her LOL. Pooped though and I will try feeding her tonight.

Oh well, I snapped a picture of this rare site. I'm a corn snake... I swear!

Such a beautiful moldy banana! I found this on greg maxwells site, don't know if it helps much but I figured it wouldn't hurt to post it :shrugs: "Factors inducing this behavior [grounding] may include stress, hiding from other snakes in the cage (including a mate), shed periods, temps too high or low, or shyness. However, some chondros will do this just because they want to. Unless the cause is one that needs to be corrected, this behavior is harmless and usually lasts just a few days"

I think she is indeed in shed, so I am not too worried :) I put her back on her perch and fed her though LOL! You SHALL perch little misses!
