Siren: 08 Sorong chondro progression!

LOL. Well I fixed her box. I think the problem was the 3 large vents. I have covered two so only one is functional and everything seems to be holding much better ie heat and humidity. :)

You know what I would like to see, a progression series of how she winds herself on her perch! I have no idea how they arrange themselves so perfectly.

LOL I can try to catch it for you Nanci. She just sort of shuffles along until shes all coiled up. It's rather cute.

LOL you should see her move from one end of the stick to another. She just sort of shuffles her coils back and forward and moves vertically along it LOL

Mine just sort of start winding up...they coil around until they are all "cinnabunned" as my hubby calls it.

I got some proper freshly shed shots of my favorite wee banana snake :)

The ever greener nose!!! Love the magnifying effect of the water on the scales. She's lovely as ever and one of the ever growing list of ones I can't stop looking at. LOL.

Nice shots, Elle!

Thank you very much :) I can't wait to see her start to turn even more green. It's even more exciting than watching my black milk turn from red, white and black to solid black.

That is a beautiful snake. I can never get over how something evolves to have such extravigent colors. "Her" eyes are very deep, and it's crazy how much yellow "she" has. I don't know how you get such clear close-ups, but I was wondering what kind of camera you use. I'm sure it's something like a DSLR, but I would love to know, because I am looking for the least expensive camera possible, that you can still adjust things like aperture settings, and close-ups.

Ricky I'd recommend the Nikon D50, can probably grab one on Ebay sub $500...not sure what Elle uses.

She's looking great Elle. I can't wait to see her change either. It's probably the best part of having these!

Thanks Meg. I just want to squee every time I open her box and stare at her :) She makes me melt...

Thank you very much :) I use one of the cheapest entry level SLR's on the market - Nikon D40. However I use it with the Sigma 105mm macro lens. The kit lens is fabulous, and you WILL get some nice close ups with it at the maximum focal range however if you want decent close ups you really should invest in a macro lens.

Great new pics of the greatest snakie ever!

Thanks Rich. When you getting a chondro?! :p

Yep I'm happy with this set of shots. This is the first lot that really show her gorgeous face shape and eyeballs off.
