Siren: 08 Sorong chondro progression!

;)She is a VERY beautiful snakie..
Makes me want winter to fly by...(come-on April!!)
anyway...I have yet to do the actual "Reading up" on these guys..because I try not to count my chickens before they hatch...god knows I'll get all excited to get one, know what I need to, and then poof...I will have some reason why I can't ....my bad luck..
but anyway...
How big do these guys get anyway..I have a HU-MUNGO VIV that we had our Iguana in..(sadley she died last winter..she was 11, and I think she may have been sick..but that s another story)
anyway...It would be a great place to house one of these snakes..I hope..so I just wanted to know..Exactally how big they get...on average?
Thanks a bunch..
~Amanda ;)

Average is around 5 ft. I've seen a couple of 6 ft. ones, but they are rare. I house my adults in 36" long, by 24" by 24". Any larger than that, and you have a lot of problems with keeping the temps and humidity in line. I house mine in larger cages than a lot of people do. I think it's more healthy and keeps them more active to have the larger cage. The length is more important than the height believe it or not. They tend to crawl around horizontally not vertically.

Pefect shed (and poop) from Siren tonight. Here she is last night (in shed, when I first noticed). I'll get freshly shed pictures once my camera battery has charged.

Siren is getting so big now. Her bum is too fat for her perches! I will be rehousing her into a custom made enclosure with acrylic viewing panel (made by a very dear friend) sometime this month :)

Look at that beautiful green nose! She's just really coming along wonderfully! You know how jealous I am! Do you have pictures of her new home yet? I mean I know she's not in it... but still I'm sure its stunning!

P.S. I love her tummy. Its sooo white and clean... I just want to rub it! I don't think she would like that though... :)

Thanks :) She doesn't mind her tummeh being touched, infact she doesn't mind anywhere being touched. She is as sweet as chocolate cake!

Heres her new tub, Ed made me two :) She will love the thicker perches and I will love being able to see her all the time. I can't wait to get them home and decorate them all.

Gorgeous Siren sure is green speckled these days! In the not too far future ... all green (with some blue, etc.).:)
I really like the new tubs with viewing panels.
