So I checked on my snake today and I noticed that he had a bunch of little flakes of skin all over him. They look like the skin that comes off when he sheds, but they're still stuck on him. Some flakes are just the size of scales, some are a little longer than that, and a couple are about 1cm big. I tried soaking him in some water, and some of the flakes were able to peel off, but I didn't want to hurt him. I started to think that they might not be left over from his last shed, but maybe the starting of a new shed.. But probably not. Should I try soaking him again and try to get all the flakes off this time? I'm worried about hurting him by pulling off skin that could be not ready to come off.
Btw he didn't eat when I tried feeding him this week. He looked like he was going to but he just moved the pinky out onto his substrate and left it.
