Gig 'Em Ags!! Whoop!!
Howdy! I went out yesterday for a few hours and found a few snakes, sadly though, I only took pictures of one with my digital camera and the rest are on film that needs to be developed. The one I took pictures of was a pretty cool encounter with a Texas Rat. I was walking down one of the trails at the local park and I decided to check out this mound that had a lot of leaf litter and some limbs down on it, and when I walked to the backside I noticed a shed. I picked it up and was examining it to try and determine what type of snake it was when I look up and see this huge 4' Texas Rat coming down out of the tree right in front of my face lol! Needless to say the guy was a little irritated with me grabbing him and he took some shots, gaped a lot, charged with his "cobra" S going, and was a lot of fun to deal with. Anyways, I took some pictures with the 35mm and remembered to take pictures with my digital point and shoot as well, so here those are. Snakes also found on the day were a beautiful, light baby southern copperhead, and a nasty ribbon snake. Hope ya'll enjoy!
