Snake Names?

I know its going to be a corn snake but do different morphs grow larger\smaller and have different needs? I could see them having different needs depending from there natural habitat but if they're raised in captivity would they still have those special needs? And if they don't are certain morphs more agressive? I Just want a $20-$100 snake that's pretty, low matinence and likes people.(or atleast tame. I don't want it to be crazy,I wouldn't mind being bit but I don't want an overly squirmy snake.)

Ive been asking this question everywhere: Is petco\petsmart acceptable to buy a snake from?
Ive been hearing that petco snakes often have mites. I dont even really know what mites are.

Generally, Petco's and PetSmarts are not very reptile intelligent, and thus haven't had very good previous care. This can be anything from mites to regurges to any other health issue you can think of.

The only morph I know of that has a slight difference is the Rosy Rats (still a type of corn), and they tend to be a bit smaller.

Temperament wise, it's just luck of the draw.

Okay..so dont buy from mass-reptile sellers..check.
There are no good snake stores in my area though. So is my only choice to order from someone online?

Where are you at? I'm sure there's someone closer than you think.

Scottsdale, Arizona. I PMed lynx already asking about the snakes in her collection that are for sale. No response yet but I know she is in mesa. I'm starting to like the blood reds a lot.

My snakes names are..... AC(alabama corn), DH (dirty harry), LB (little bit), Candy, Booger, Bandit, Hoodini, and TO( the other snake). All have earned their names by doing something strange or being found in strange places.

Some interesting names there. My favorite out of those is hoodini :p I can imagine how he\she got his name.

my Corns are:

Lucky, Piglet, Jimmie, Kaa, Wormy, Laura, Kenny, Cupid, Niblet, Dude, Josie, Bogey, Bekers, Winter, & Jackie.

Boas are:

Penny, Buddy, Petey, Elvis, Sadie, & Romeo.

The names I chose are a bit weird I think but...

Spiritus, Solaris, Shnitzel, Phoenix, Lotus, Venus and BlackJack.

I think part of naming the snakes is seeing them in person and getting to know them. I didn't "pick" out names for any of my snakes until I had them with me.
Tiaga was named by my daughter. Brogan was a name we came up with because of a book my daughter was reading at the time with the name of a character Rogan, but I thought she said Brogan and it stuck.
Good luck in whatever way you choose to name your new baby.

I seem to run themes with my reptiles...themes that I like for whatever particular reason.

My corns are on an Anne Rice theme: Lestat, Akasha, Pandora
My black milks are themed after the cardinal sins: Wrath, Envy

If/when I get into Rhacodactylus geckos, their theme will be cities of the world (London, Paris, Sydney, Tokyo, etc...etc...)

I don't really do themes. Whatever pops into my head usually sticks... And sometimes I'll name them after something they look like/did, though even those usually are ones that just "occur" to me... And a couple of them (Hobbs, Yelina, Osiris) came with their names. =3

Corn snakes:
Mallie, Greta, Hansel, Asia, Rhythm, Xente, Yelina

Boas:
Osiris (BCI), Jekyll (BCI), China (KSB)

Ball Pythons:
Hobbs, Ed

Other:
Lucy (Taiwan Beauty Ratsnake)
Man Ray (Bearded dragon)

And I'm determined to name one of my next snakes "Misfit".

As for some "whys"...
Mallie is short for Maligne, which is something along the lines of "clever" in French.
Jekyll is largely orange, black, and tan, so I HAD to give him a Halloween-themed name.
Lucy (short for "Lucifer") was my older brother's and his wife's idea when she mistook my hand for a rat the day we got her--it stuck, then she ended up being female, which just made it stick more.
"Ed" is short for "Educational" (or, as I like to spell it, "Edjookashunal") after my first experience with him.
Rhythm looked like he was dancing while he looked for an escape in his new viv when we got him.
China and Asia looked like Chinese take-out on the way home from the expo.
Hansel and Greta are brother and sister--"Greta" just sounded better to me than "Gretel"...
Oh, and two of my mice (my first two, when they were still pets) got the names Fudge and Cinnamon because they're considered food items by the vast majority of my household.

All the others were "popped in my head and stuck" names. =3

Really, whatever comes to you and sounds right once you have the snake will probably stick. And they always seem to be the best names...
