Snake with a Limb..

I agree....my very first thought was...looks like food sticking out...its in a really wierd spot for it to be a real leg.

It looks like a prey item to me that ruptured the belly, but not the skin, unless of course it was found close to their nuclear power plant.... :D

i remember watching something on discovery or animal planet. and a frog grew different mutations that would cause it to be handicapped, extra limbs was the most usual. and it was caused by a parasite so as the parasite can live in tadpole and effect its growing up. then a bird would eat it and become the next host and so on. i wonder if somehow it could be something parasitical like that. if this was already mentioned im sorry. i didnt take time to read the hole thread yet.

I see a whole shoulder and elbow and hand. All pointed, as a limb, in the opposite from correct anatomical direction.
Question : Do modern snakes still have the (latent) genes to produce a fully developed recognizable limb?
I mean, that would kind of be like a human baby being born with a monkey tail.

Of course, if the frog or lizard were oriented correctly headfirst when it was swallowed, it would naturally be oriented "backwards" when it punctured the snakes body wall.

Actually, every single organism in the universe traverses it's own mini evolution while being created during pregnancy
Human babies for instance at some point develop fins and webs on our hands and feet before they dissolve, and also a tail... interesting huh?
Is it possible that for some odd reason it stops at some stage? I imagine it is possible...
I don't see how it is likely, to me this looks like BS...

I don't know... in my opinion it just doesn't look real or sound right. But it would be neat if it was real.

OT, but: IZZY!!!!! You're alive!!! We were about to get a search and rescue party going!

:grin01:

Dale

OT: Yes I'm alive! I've been poking my head around the last couple days :) Trying to catch up!

I'm glad to hear someone was thinking of me!

I think it looks fake. Sure, it would be cool if it was real. First snake with a limb. SMASH!!!!!!!!!! What is wrong with people???
