Great shots of some fantastic animals!

*grabby hands for the Argentine boa*

Great looking Boas and ... who couldn't love that turtle (looking all cute & everything :) ).
Very nice photos all the way around.

I love the upside turtle photo! Very unique way to show it and it works wonderfully.
The argentine is especially gorgeous as well.

Dang.. Greeat shots..

So, I think you just made me add another boa to my list. How big to Argentine's get?

Thank you!

Not quite as large as BCIs though 6 to 8ft should still be expected....males tend to be a bit on the smaller side though.

Dang.. Well that means I'll get a male. Lol. I told myself only 3 boa's too.. Oh well.. 4 isn't so bad right? Lol.

LOL
Yeah I tried putting a cap on my collection many years ago....figured 25 was a good number....LOL I guessing missing my mark by 50 or so wasn't to bad...LOL

Sorry to bring this up, but dang.. That argentine is gorgeous. A lot better than I remembered. Anyway, was he in a dark phase? Or do they have a dark phase? I've seen other pictures but the others did not have that much black.

Thanks much.

As for the light and dark phases, technically no, but as with any type of snake there is some variability within the species, thus you can find Argentines with a high amount of black and white, and there are some that show more brown and golden toning, this guy is one of the darker ones with very little gold toning....which is usually the ones I prefer. LOL If you are looking for a darker one, stay away from youngsters with high amounts of pink in thier pattern as the pink will turn to golden tan as they age.
