some of my new projects(non cornsnakes)

I did keep a few corns(mainly because I couldnt sell them) but I thought I'd share with you guys some of my new interests. I will be breeding the striped lavenders, striped opals and Lavender mots and opal mots in the spring though. Thanks for looking at the non corns. I know Hurley is putting a HEX on me right about now, LOL.

Nice boa Mike! :eek1:

Is the second one a sunglow?

from the infamous Tom Burke(SR.) They(boas) are really nice husbandry wise. They, compared to corns are much slower in deficating and messing up there enclosures. I really like them so far. That tank I took the photos in is a complete vivarium with all living tropical plants and no fakes. I have a pair of Cresties going in there in a few days. thanks for looking

Sheer perfection, from the Burkes??

Imagine that. :grin01:

Very nice! Sharp Sunglows and Snows on the near horizon for us....

Lol

Why is it that nobody does tell this guy this forum is corn only....?

Is it really? I see that you joined the forums WAY BACK in June of 05. I'm sorry, you are absolutley correct. I just wanted to share a few photos with some FRIENDS I have made on this forum over the YEARS. I put the words NON CORNS in the heading so folks like yourself dont waste their time by clicking on the thread. Surely you dont think that this will be the only time you see a non cornsnake on the photo gallery do you? You'll see some others trust me. I put the key words in CAPS to help you out a little.

nice

I've noticed a fair share or non-cornsnake photos being posted here and I'm going to have to start wielding the axe. Especially on those messages where people upload the image to this server, as the database for this forum is getting HUGE. And on top of that, I have to pay the bandwidth each time the image is viewed.

So, not meaning to get people upset or think I'm singling them out for any reason, but I will be going through the old messages and deleting ANY non-cornsnake photo that I find. And new ones will be deleted immediately upon discovery.

After all, this IS a cornsnake ONLY forum, and I want to keep it that way.

Thanks for your understanding.

I think Blu was referencing this, posted by Rich way back when...very nice boa's by the way...We just picked up a Suri in Chicago

"This thread would be more appropriate in the chit-chat forum." There, someone said it. :grin01:

I wouldn't be surprised if it got moved. That's the general protocol.

It's good to hear you kept a few corns, Mike. Meanwhile, about them boas, I'll be helping Hurley research a really good hex, LOL. ;) (Gotta find us a nice Creole woman to cast that one!)

Yeah, since then the chit chat forum has been added (if my timeline thinking is correct) and it has become the catch all for any non-corn related info. With the barrage of "you're posting on the wrong forum" posts in the last several months, I think what Blutengel was asking is "Why isn't this guy being told when those other people were." Shrug, could be wrong, but that's how I read it. :shrugs:

Tnx Hurley, you got me right! I was just wondering.....because most other people get 'blown away' very soon after posting non-corn pics... I'm not bothered by his thread, more by his response... if he's here so much longer than me, why didn't he know about Rich's sticky thread anyway? But hey, I'm glad most of the other seniors did read my post as it was supposed to be read... :)

Mike... you really shouldn't have posted those pictures! I had no interest in Boas until I saw those beauties. They are absolutely gorgeous. Thanks for sharing.

thanks

I figured he will delete it, especially since I posted it up, LOL. I only posted it here because most of the folks that I know are in tune with the photo gallery. For instance, I dont think I've ever visited the general chit chat forum really. I guess I kind of assume that some people "hang" in this forum and not in others and so and so forth. Sorry if I offended anyone by posting it here. It was very very bad of me. I am sorry. Thanks for the nice words on them though.

mike, you evil evil person. how dare you post non corn pics in the photo gallery! ;)

those boas are very nice looking animals. i wish i had the room for some boas and pythons. i suppose one of these days i'll have to have a reptile house built on my property.

Thanks.

I am very very fortunate to have a house with a really nice snake room in it. It was one of my earliest goals in life that when I bought my own home, I would have a room dedicated to my snakes. I never realized how lucky I would actually become to be able to build a room from the ground up for the sole purpose of breeding and keeping reptiles. Sorry to chew your ear off but If I may say a few words about the topic, my best friend who had my back all of those dark and scary nights in Bed Stuy, and believe me.....it got pretty hairy out there, built my room for me because he knew how important it was to me. I think we all know how "normal" people think about our snakes, LOL But my friend didnt even hesitate, he built it from the ground up for me. He killed himself not too long ago and my life was forever changed. Everytime I walk into my snake room, I think of him. I guess my point is, we have to take a step back and appreciate what we have. Build that room because life is very very short. Thanks for the vent.

Those boas are STUNNING! I LOVE 'em! And your posting error seems to have been forgiven by the Webslave...so far. Of course, if you had posted pics of ugly snakes, or worse, something four-legged, you would surely have gotten the boot!
