I have been admiring carpet pythons for years, and been contemplating getting one for just as long.. Well.... I finally gave in :) The Snake Shop got in two Jaguar Carpet pythons this past weekend and I bought this little guy.. Hadn't even seen him yet but knew I wanted him.. Plus my friend gave me a killer deal.. I got to see him today for the first time.. Man he is awesome, I luvs him :)

Gorgeous! I like the name Honu too.....or you could name him after one of the TMNT's? lol

He's not a hypo, carpets start off brown/tan when they are young and grow into their blacks and yellows as they get older.
Congrats on your new baby! They are really cool snakes.
 
Gorgeous Jaguar! I have one myself :) He will turn out to be a very pretty yellow. Are you going to do a progression thread?
 
Nanci, Jaguars are a cross with a Coastal Carpet. Mine is a 75% IJ Jag. Her mom was a IJ X Coastal cross, paired with an IJ male.

He is coastal and Irian jaya as well ;)
