Sophie Died Today

SnakeNbake

Cuz that's how I roll!
For all those following the story of the sick snow motley baby I rescued, she died today. I'm crying like a baby right now because even though I knew there was a big chance she wouldn't make it, I loved her like crazy and tried so hard to help her.

Thank you to everyone who tried to help and to Terri for sending medicine.

I buried her today with the little white flowers she loved to sit in. She was the sweetest little baby and I miss her already.

I'm sorry to hear that. :( We all know that between you and Terri, all that could be done WAS done. Sophie was lucky to have you on her side. R.I.P. Sophie.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Losing an animal is terrible - they seem to find a way in to our hearts no matter how hard we prepare ourselves for what lies ahead. Well done to you for trying your best to help her get better.

Im so sorry, We know how hard you worked on trying to save her. I know exactly how you are feeling, I lost a little baby snow mid last year too and it was heartbreaking.

*huggles and stuff*

I'm so sorry for your loss.

Try to remember that the brief time that little girl spent with you was the best time in her all too short life. You did good...and she knows that.

Poor little Sophie. Here's a prayer for her. I think it speaks to all of us who rescue animals.

"We who choose to surround ourselves with lives even more temporary than our own, live within a fragile circle, easily and often breached.
Unable to accept its awful gaps, we still would live no other way.
We cherish memory as the only certain immortality,
never fully understanding the necessary plan."

Irving Townsend.

I'm so glad you had her in a loving home until the end.

Nanci

Sorry for the loss...

Glenda. It is always harder to lose one you put an effort into when there is little chance. I admire you (and Diamondlil).

I'm very sorry to hear of your loss. I'm sure it was worth every bit of effort you made to save her. It should give you some solace knowing you gave her the best she could have.

Thanks you guys. I know I did the best I could and I'm trying to take some comfort in that but I just wish I could've done more. I wanted to see her grow up and watch her eat mice on her own but at least she isn't suffering anymore. I sure miss her though.

So sorry to hear this. It's always tough to lose one, but I think it's tougher when you lose one that you think you have turned around. I know, I have 6 snakes buried in the yard. Peace.

I'm soooo sorry to hear this. I know you put forth great effort to help Sophie.
Please try to take comfort in the fact that her last days were with someone
who loved her and did everything within her power to help give Sophie a better
life.
huggggggssss!

So sorry to hear of your loss! We were pullin for ya.
As you have said at least she is not suffering.
Thanks for caring enough to try.
Rick
