Well, I've gotten my first notification about being over the traffic bandwidth limit on my server. I have tried cutting down the number of messages that will display in each thread, so the size of the file sent to each viewer will be smaller. Hopefully this will work.
If not, I may have to disable the posting of attached images (the ones people upload from their local system). Each time a photo is uploaded as well as each time it is viewed counts towards the bandwidth limit.
I'm asking you all to do your part as well. I will list some guidelines that you can use to help keep the bandwidth down somewhat:
(1) If you have already sold an item that is in an ad, please delete it. Same thing if a Wanted Ad has been filled.
(2) If you wish to upload an image, you can still do so, but pick out one GOOD one rather than uploading as many as you took with the camera. Images take up a LOT of bandwidth.
(3) Cut down your signature area to the bare minimum. Is it really necessary to list every animal you have there?
(4) If you are having a one-on-one discussion with another member here, consider doing it via email. Everyone else really doesn't need to see your conversation.
A little bit of common sense will go a long way.
Thanks.
